	of course he does He refers to me as Tantei-san. That, it seems, is the most he will give me. I learned his name from others. And beyond an educated guess from Jim about our previous relationship, I have nothing to go on beyond that he clearly recognized me and just as clearly won't talk to me. That is what I'm trying to find out. However, if Jinx isn't even willing to share his name with me, I can't help but assume that going to him directly on the matter would fail to produce results. My own memories are no help in the matter. At best, it's possible that Jinx is the thief I was attempting to catch, whose capture held, in my own words, a "special significance".

But even that isn't guaranteed.
