Game 78
Who? Anybody
Where? The Arena
When? Day 115, evening
What? I wonder...

[Man, didn't you just see this Judge? Well, today's game is Persona again, and she appears to be back to her usual modus operandi - unconscious people in black chairs. Today's victims are Excel, Kaito, Nora, Kohaku, Almaz, and Tailmon. Rather than the usual doors with colored assignments, however, there's simply one enormous black door, standing before the statue.]

Did you know that a heart is only as strong as its weakest link? That hidden in the darkness of cracks and corners, there are fears and insecurities the heart would be better off without? If I told you that you are to kill a piece of the heart today, something with real presence, such as a face and a voice... how would you respond? Would you forfeit the Game? Or would you make an attempt to improve the heart by rooting out and destroying a source of weakness?

Tell me about it.

The others tried to warn me. The other parts of him. And they tried to save me. Just couldn't manage it.

[rubbing at his head like he has a headache]

They were even hurting themselves trying to warn me and I didn't see it. I thought they meant the person, not the box.

It doesn't look like the other way was any better.

Maybe there wasn't any way in the first place.

...heh. Maybe so.

No use thinking of it now, when there's other things to take care of though.

Lcukily, Orion is like right next to Cepheus now.

I can handle it if no one else can do it. I'm sure someone will be much cooler and less injured than me, however.

Yes. But I said if she needed it, m'here.

When she's ready to leave, we'll see how it goes. If nothing else I can take one side for her to lean on.

My method of coping is distracting myself which is why I am making this sad attempt at being helpful. But point taken.

Maybe I can think about reading Midsummer's Night Dream again or something instead.

There's a famous playwright from England called Shakespeare. One of his plays is a comedy called Midsummer's Night Dream. It's got people, it's got fairies, it's got Puck... His ending homologue is well known. Everyone wants to play him.

[quoting, taking on a british accent]

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
If you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.

England, faeries, and Puck.

Then you can tell me what it's about.
