Hey everyone! I'm claiming the week of August 14th-20th (15th-21st for moontimers) for a magical de-aging game. Young characters will have the option of aging up if they so choose. Timing/event details will come later, once I plan them out precisely, but the structure will essentially be the same as the sexswap game. AKA a small kick-off post on Saturday, a possible optional ~adventure~ in the middle of the week, and then minigames on the very last day. I will eventually need Ophi volunteers for the minigame segment, but that will come later. (Ophi is also invited to participate in aging shenanigans.)
Here's my tentative plan for how memories will work:
+ Any canon memories from before the point you're deaging to will remain intact. Edit: This only counts for canon memories you've recovered via games. Picking up kid!personality traits without appropriate memories is a-okay (and probably the only option for people with no childhood memories just yet), but actually receving new information is a no-go.
+ Any other canon memories will be blurred for the duration of the game. Think of them as being childhood memories in terms of how difficult they are to remember. (For example, Kirk would know that he's the captain of the Enterprise and that he went to Starfleet, but not the details of what those two things entail. Except maybe that captain's chairs are awesome.)
+ Sabra memories will mostly remain intact. Big traumatic ones should probably be softened for the game, and the Sabra personality shouldn't override the kid!persona, but otherwise characters won't be actively forgetting anything.
Characters who are aging up will not experience any change in their memories. (Except maybe an optional dash of maturity.)
Like with the sexswap game, participation is completely optional! We'll need some adults around to keep an eye on all the kids anyway. And while horrible things can (and will in a place like Sabra) happen to kids, I'd like to keep the overall tone of the game light.
Questions, comments, suggestions? I'll post more details and ask for Ophi volunteers laterrr.
