Apartments For RentVACANT. The son of a construction worker, Inari was born deaf and with a talent for metals. He works in the welding shop at Disneyland, repairing rides and fixing parade floats, but he secretly wishes he was using his talents to build works of art for the theme park attendants to see and enjoy. Lately, he’s taken to sneaking sculptures onto the grounds after the park has been swept through in the evenings.
VACANT. Childhood friend of Baldr, Thor was the best athlete in his class from a young age, leading to the football scholarship that got him through college and catapulted him into the pros. He is a man’s man, tougher than the tough. He’s always been restless, however, and never fully satisfied despite his enormous success - likely due to the fact that he’s been tightly locked in the closet his entire life. If anyone were to imply that constantly needling Jormungand is similar to a pulling a girl’s pigtails on the playground, however, he’d probably punch them in the face.

Premise:
There is an apartment building in California called 'Pax Letale.' Most people ignore its auspicious name, though they would be advised to pay more attention to its meaning.
It is a strange building.
Every man, woman and child in the building is a reincarnated myth, the stories told to humans for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Once very real, the myths began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. They have all been reborn in human forms, though their essence remains, waiting to be awakened at the right time, in the right place.
Now is the time - Pax Letale is the place. As their lives connect and weave together, as they follow their petty desires and long-held grudges, they are, all of them, on the brink of disaster. Their Landlord knows their every move, and the building they live in seems to have an agenda of its own. People are tortured, people die, people plot behind each other's backs and sneak around and cheat. They love, they fight, they draw blood. |
