Apartments For RentVACANT. Marius has always kept his nose clean and his shoes polished. He grew up in a white-washed neighborhood, to a normal, middle-class family, and nothing ever happened to him. His life was, for all intents and purposes, perfect. Until he met Eponine, that is. She wouldn't give him the time of day, and he's determined to make an impact on the woman by infiltrating her dark world. If he only has eyes for Cosette once he gets there, well he can hardly help that, can he?
VACANT. A trusted member of the clergy, Claude Frollo is not what he seems. In fact, if you took his fingerprints, you’d find they don’t match up at all with those of the harmless Monsignor he claims to be - rather, they tie back to countless murders in the area (including Mary Morstan’s father and the victim used for The Beast’s blackmail). His claims his residence in Bellum Letale is approved by his organization (there is talk of the devil living the catacombs, you know), and he has taken up a position at a local church. He knows Esmeralda's secrets, and he is not afraid to exploit them - in fact, he’s counting on it, especially if it wins him Quasimodo as a willing accomplice.

Premise:
There is an apartment building in New York called 'Bellum Letale.' Most people ignore its auspicious name, though they would be advised to pay more attention to its meaning.
It is a strange building.
Every man, woman and child in the building is a reincarnated fable, the stories told to human children for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Once very real, the fables began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. They have all been reborn in human forms, though their essence remains, waiting to be awakened at the right time, in the right place.
Now is the time - Bellum Letale is the place. As their lives connect and weave together, as they follow their petty desires and long-held grudges, they are, all of them, on the brink of disaster. Their Landlord knows their every move, and the building they live in seems to have an agenda of its own. People are tortured, people die, people plot behind each other's backs and sneak around and cheat. They love, they fight, they draw blood. This is not the fairy tale you remember being told. |

| You’ve just been sentenced to MCI Grand Junction, a prison located some 20 miles west of Boston, Massachusetts.
You have been sent here to carry out the full term of your sentence. There will be no escape. There will be no appeals. Some of you will never leave. For some this is only the beginning of a long and terrible nightmare.
Rumors of brutality, of severe discipline, rape and even murder is rife within, but in a place like Grand Junction money talks. Besides, you are a convicted felon: society has washed its hands of you.
The only people looking out for you now are those left on the outside waiting for your release. Pray you live long enough to see it.
Your life as you knew it is over.
