❝Cʀᴇᴀᴛɪɴɢ ᴜɴɪᴛʏ ʙᴇᴛᴡᴇᴇɴ ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀᴇᴅs sɪɴᴄᴇ 2005!❞ This is the slogan for the Darwin Project, a highly controversial program creatured by United States Senator Edwin Pierce. Proposed as a way for the 'powered community' (as people with special abilities have come to be known) to unify more successfully than ever before, Project Darwin promised to be the crowning jewel of legislation for Senator Pierce. Pierce gloated about his program to the government and public alike, calling it "unrivaled legislature". Those in the powered community who wished to volunteer would simply have to relocate to Darwin. In doing so, they would receive jobs, housing, income, and free health care.
One small stipulation: each participate is required to enter into a marriage (designed by the program runners) and procreate quickly.
As more and more powereds have entered the program, they have realised that it's not as simple as it seems. The government dictate every part of their daily lives. None of the real details of the program have been disclosed to the general public, nor were they told to the participants who agree to join. But once you're in, you're in a hell of a fight to get out. And for many, this is going to prove to be a fight for their lives.
The program officials and Senator Pierce see nothing wrong, of course. After all, they're just following in Charles Darwin's footsteps for evolution. They're only giving it a little push.

| | LXH (League of Extraordinary Heroes) is a pulp-based, multi-genre RPG. Set in modern times, in fictional Avalon City, it features good, bad, and that hazy grey area in dealing with superheroes, supervillains, mystics, demons, enhanced humans, vampires, assassins, werewolves, mutants, and everything in between. If you can think it up, it probably lives here in Avalon. We're looking for recruits with an eye for the unusual, and a rich style of character creation. Turmoil will constantly be on the horizon, as the mods aim to throw a wrench into the works every now again, for good guys and bad guys alike. Evil NPC elements will pop up from time to time, as well as squeaky clean heroes. Keep an eye out for advertisements in the Avalon Herald for wanted "guns for hire", or seek out the leaders of various factions within the city yourself. Feel free to start a personality from scratch, or take an existing character from your favourite canon and re-work them into an original character. In this game, as with Avalon City itself, anything goes... | |

The Ministry is watching you.
Oh, it’s nothing so obvious as a sneakoscope on every corner. You’d never think twice about popping in for a bit of shopping in Diagon Alley, and now that everything is rebuilt, it’s as if nothing has changed. Flourish and Blott’s, Madame Malkins… everything is as it should be, yet the streets are far more quiet than they used to be. People go about their business more briskly than they used to do, and if you talk too long to the wrong sort, or linger too long over your butter beer at the Leaky, you might feel an eerie prickling at the nape of your neck. Don’t bother turning around, though. Nothing will be there.
Some wizards blame it on the war, of course. It’s been 9 years since the Battle of Hogwarts, and it could be argued that now there are simply fewer witches and wizards to make noise, but others say it’s because of the new Minister of Magic. He has a way about him that sets one’s teeth on edge.
But perhaps it isn’t the Minister himself, maybe it’s just a sign of the changing times… Either way, a word of advice: Watch what you say, and who you say it to. People are disappearing, rumours are swift and vicious and you can’t trust the Daily Prophet to report on any of it, because nothing insidious or illegal seems to be happening.
It’s true that Voldemort is dead, and nobody wants another Wizarding War… But the Dark Lord cast a tremendously long shadow.
Sometimes Evil is violent and easy to spot… other times it’s much more cunning. The time to choose sides again may be coming soon.

2006. After years of war and rebuilding, Wizarding Great Britain has finally moved on... and it is thriving! But old prejudices die hard... School rivalries still ring true, pureblood supremecists still hold their ideals close, and muggleborn rights activists still fight for equality. Not everyone gets along, and this world is far from perfect... but like it or not, we're all still connected. |

THINGS AREN‘T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM
It was only recently that Supernaturals have come out of the closet and made their presence known, and small towns all over the United States are being filled with them. Cazenovia is no different. It’s the perfect little old town. Lush and green with rich forestry, close to a major city, and it’s rich in history. It’s the perfect place for the Supernatural to practice their craft, and hunt their prey. Humans are still dealing with the aspect that this unknown is real. Some accept it, some do not. Can they all live together, or will the town be ripped apart?
ONLY TIME WILL TELL. |

In 1947 a UFO crashed in the desert near Roswell, New Mexico. The government wrote it off as an accident involving a weather balloon and, though the tourist industry boomed from the news, most rational people decided that it was a mere urban legend without a grain of truth to it.
Honestly, though the government scoured the area quite thoroughly, there was something left behind. It was a pod chamber containing four alien-human hybrids. They would emerge from their respective pods as six year old children who would be integrated into the human society in town as foster children. They know that they are different. They know that, as being not quite human, they have special abilities that other entirely human children do not. They also know that it is wise to keep their otherworldly sides to themselves or they don’t know what humans might do to them out of fear.
It is 2011 and the four alien-human hybrids are sixteen years old and finishing off the second semester of their sophomore year at Roswell High School. Something is about to happen that will change everything they know. Their most precious secret will be revealed possibly putting all of them and the ones they love in grave danger.

After the seventh year, comes the eighth.
Voldemort has been defeated, the dust has settled and everyone is working hard to rebuild their lives following the end of the war.
One would think that it would be a time of peace and healing...
But not everyone is pleased with the demise of the Dark Lord. For he was a leader, and what's a leader without his followers? These followers didn't just disappear after Voldemort's death, no, they only went into hiding. Recruiting from their position in the shadows, the remaining Death Eaters are targeting the younger generation in order to restore their population and finish what they started.
Those not aware of the darkness still surrounding them are going on with their lives as best they can. Only time will tell if things are really changing for the better.
Or perhaps the world is merely being led into a false sense of security.
