New Frontiers a nu!Trek rpg (holds open now; game opens 01/03/11; more notes on what's up here) The year is 2259 and Captain James T. Kirk has recently embarked on his first long term space assignment commanding the U.S.S. Enterprise. Their ongoing mission is to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations and to boldly go where no one has gone before.
It's the same story we all know-- only different. The crew is younger, less experienced and their universe has been altered from what we knew. In other words: this isn't just your parent's fandom anymore. This is a bold new era for the characters we know and love.

Musings has always existed, a world alongside our world.
In Musings, people live the way we do, eat the same food we do, love the same way we do, and work the same minimum wage jobs we do. The differences? They all have their roots in fictional characters, and they are immortal.
Though they are not the characters themselves, they carry in them the essences of characters from fiction. The sources that they spring from do not exist for them, but they are based on fiction we are familiar with all the same - though no one has ever read a Batman comic, there is a rich young man who uses his money to fight the forces of evil that destroyed his life. Though Moby Dick was never written, a sailor still stalks the bars of a town on the sea, watching, waiting.
Now, a portal has opened between the world of Musings and the mortal world, and the Creations (as they call themselves) have begun crossing over in droves. Now, they have abilities that they did not have in their own world, abilities that they can choose to do with what they will. There is no great prescribed fate for these echoes of fiction, only the destinies they choose to weave for themselves - living and losing on the shores of a new world.

Welcome to Asheville, North Carolina!
Asheville has been proclaimed to be a "New Age Mecca" as well as "the new freak capital of the US". Most people overlook these statements made by the media, because most of Asheville's residents live there because it was named one of the top seven places to live in the US, it's location in the mountains and surrounding areas is ideal, and life moves at a slower pace in the South.
Little do people know that the first two statements are true, and Asheville has been rumored to sport some serious supernatural activity.
For many years supernatural creatures of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds have been migrating to this city in the Blue Ridge Mountains. None of them can quite put their finger on why they are drawn there, but there is a pull that they just can't ignore. Perhaps it has something to do with the convergence of all these different supernaturals, or maybe something darker is brewing underneath the city of Asheville.

Opening December 15th!!!!Looking for a new Harry Potter Game? One with the potential to flesh out your character, and have the freedom to explore new interactions? Then you've come to the right place. This is an after life RP, and while that has been done many times before this game is very loose and free wheeling. Most of all we want players to have fun, let loose and have a blast.

 There is no real need for supernatural creatures to hide their existence from humans. That is, when the decision is theirs to make.
Vampires and witches could rule the world if they chose to, but the powerful fae keep them in their place. Long ago, a visiting fae discovered the human race and decided it was worth protecting. Since then, the powerful fae community have strived to maintain the blissful ignorance humans have of supernatural creatures, including themselves. Yet not everything on Earth agrees with this philosophy. There are those who feel a reveal is in order, either for selfish reasons or for equality among all creatures.
Night Bumpers is a game set in New York, NY, focusing on the creatures that go bump in the night and their struggle between light and dark, hidden and revealed. We have plot waiting in the wings to be acted out in-game. Will you risk exposure?

The Cards will decide your character's Sanity.
Tarot Me This is an Original Character Role Playing Game where all characters are based off of one of 78 cards found in a Tarot Deck. When characters go to sleep at night they are transported to the Dreamscape where your characters can do anything. In the Dreamscape they become that Tarot Card and once every 1-2 weeks the Mods will do a Plot Spread with the Tarot Cards and send them out on a mission through the Dreamscape.
Basically all the characters in the game live two lives. There is the waking life, and the sleeping life. As the game progresses those two things may end up being blurred for your character. It is a fight for sanity, only limited to your imagination.

vegasrpg
It's new, though decently active, but there are a lot of popular characters still available. :) It would be awesome if some more girls came, but more dudes is pretty epic too. Especially straight dudes. :)
This is an AU game that has a loose plot but focuses on real life in Vegas and doesn't get too far away from realism. No supernatural stuff, no off the wall stuff like 500 story buildings and where not everyone has to be locked in to the same thing or going in the same direction; like a school, an asylum, a prison and so on. It's about just living in Vegas and the multitude of different types of people that live there - from the rich, the poor, the illegal, the legal, the families and the single bar flies. The options of what you can bring into the community are pretty large and it's Vegas - what's not to love?

The world could not account for the spike in unexplained phenomenon in 2009. Whole towns turned against one another, hail the size of tennis balls mingled with lightning-storms-turned-infernos, hurricanes in places there'd never been hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, and the list went on in such a short time. The religious grew louder, believing it to be a sign of the apocalypse, but they never really knew just how right they were.
May 2010, Detroit. Sam Winchester, separated from his brother Dean since September of the previous year, finally tired of his burden and invited the Devil in to stay, and that's when things really got weird. Within hours, Detroit was decimated, and the government could only point to such a wide-scale terrorist attack that martial law was eventually declared.
The virus, later revealed by its victims, is called Croatoan and all of those tainted run rabid, murdering and infecting anyone they come across who has not been infected. As the spread of the disease gets worse, the president does the unthinkable, bombing whole cities and plugging up routes to stop the spread of the disease and dooming those few survivors. Hope seems to have abandoned Earth.
News of Camp Chitaqua in South Dakota filtered through the survivors' grapevine and people began to flock to it like mecca. Craving safety, they even manage to put up with its gruff, unapologetic leader, Dean Winchester. No one is sure where the Rifters came from - or how - but they started turning up in 2011 near the perimeter of the camp. Most aren't here for long - they vanish without a trace one day - and those left behind have to weather illness, injury, Croats, and the impending sense of dread that inevitably comes when they realize they've missed the Rapture. Life is hard, and everyone has a job to do, but it beats the alternative and maybe you'll get lucky enough to be reunited with long-lost loved ones.
