Established in 1763, Comfort has a rich history going back to the original colonies of America. In the present day, it is famous for the strange goings-on that happen throughout the town: mysterious lights over the woods, a haunted former prison for the criminally insane, haunted train tracks, the remains of a 19th century cult that ended in mass murder...there was even a cult slasher film series based on the town's supernatural history that has spawned an annual horror film festival. Typical tourist attractions can be found in town too, from tours on the Buckley Plantation or at the Thorpe winery to visits to the Historical Society's Museum or one of the many art galleries in town. It was the first of its kind, implemented just after the mutant education act. The university is open to humans and mutants of all races, creeds and religions, giving them an equal opportunity at higher education. Mutant U. is a co-ed, mutant/human university specializing in offering additional training for mutant powers alongside the curriculum for most common majors. The game allows canon and OC characters, humans and mutants, teachers, staff and students. The university is a microcosm that reflects some of the prejudices found in the outside world as well as those unique to college life. MU is a College Level AU X-Men game set in modern day Boston. It is meant to be a place where OCs may flourish, new stories can be written and those who have moved on to college may begin again. The school grounds, commonly referred to as Mutant U., house both a university as well as a training facility. The game is open to mutants and humans age 18+, canon and original characters are both welcome. The game hopes to combine the social aspects of life as a mutant and a university student with the dangers that come from living in a world where humans and mutants coexist, sometimes not-so-peacefully. In the midst of a big battle that took place at the Ministry of Magic, England was practically destroyed. Explosions filled the air that night, curses were flying in all directions. Too much magic in one, confined space. Things began to crumble and many died with it; witch, wizard, and muggle included. The whole country is in chaos, mass panic filling the air. Muggles are blaming a meteor crash, saying that it fell directly onto London and vanquishing most things around it. The magical folk are the only ones who know the truth, that something happened that night at the Ministry. No one is sure what exactly, but whatever it was... was powerful and now all of England lies in shambles. The Wizarding World needs a leader. It needs hope. It needs a future.
