[19 Jun 2010|12:41am] Twenty-two years and four months ago (give or take a day), Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord. In the years leading up to that fateful day, he and his friends had to grow up too quickly and miss out on some that Hogwarts has to offer, so they could focus on more important things, like saving the entire Wizarding World. Thanks to their heroic actions, the children of Harry, his friends, his enemies, and the people he passed once or twice in the corridors can all go to Hogwarts and grow up on schedule. Without having to sneak out of the Castle to go hunt Horcruxes, the Potters and Weasleys of today (along with the Macmillans, the Smiths, the Whisps, and everybody else) can instead spend their time on more age-appropriate pursuits, like getting pissed out of their minds on contraband firewhiskey. Posteritas is a game focused on character relationships and development instead of an overarching plot, in which your characters will have a typical Hogwarts experience (if there is such a thing). There will be Quidditch matches, trips to Hogsmeade, and surely some good-old fashioned pranks, but the students in school on September 1, 2022 don't have to worry about Death Eaters, dementors, or the dark mark. If you're looking to play an ordinary (or not-so-ordinary) magical teenager with a Hogwarts life made exciting by their peers instead of the outside world, this is the game for you. OPENS JULY 1! Spymoria: A Chuck RP [19 Jun 2010|02:41pm] spymoria: In 2007, underachiever Chuck Bartowski downloaded "The Intersect" from an e-mail sent by CIA agent Bryce Larkin and his life changed forever as he was caught up in a world of spies and intrigue. It is now 2010. The Ring has been defeated, and Chuck recently discovered his father's work doing covert operations outside of government authority. Faced with an entire room full of files and data, he recognized the need for resources. Realizing he had a good card to play, he turned again to the CIA and NSA. Out of gratitude for Chuck's invaluable assistance in taking down The Ring, General Diane Beckman of the NSA and Director Peter Marston of the CIA have approved what's now dubbed "Operation Orion". Operation Orion is a black ops squad with ties to the official intelligence and espionage community, although the nature of their missions mean that its members utilize more unorthodox tactics and procedures than standard intelligence operatives. Its four core members are Chuck Bartowski, Sarah Walker, John Casey, and Morgan Grimes, though others have made themselves available as associates. Operation Orion, now officially formed and ready to move after reviewing the intel, now faces its future as the hunters of the threats, foreign and domestic, identified and recorded by Stephen Bartowski. To outside eyes the place is just another resort city with it's beautiful mountains and picturesque seasons, but not everything is as it seems. Evergreen Peak has secrets. It has drawn quite the supernatural crowd - the Were's like it because of the vast nature areas surrounding it, the Vampire's like it because winters are long and they have many places to set up home, and humans love it for the skiing, snowboarding and wilderness preserves it offers. The world has become acquainted with Vampires and Weres, but not everyone has quite gotten used to living with them as neighbors. Here the population has settled into an uneasy peace - the Vampires can be vicious, cruel creatures. The Weres can be unpredictable and territorial, and the humans are left in the middle. Not belonging to either group, but trying to find their own way in the world. It's life as you know it, spiced up with a dash of supernatural mayhem and fun.
