Everybody has potential for success---that is the belief at Meridian Prep---a high school set in a rural Oregon mountainside village that gives struggling students a chance to excel. At Meridian Prep, they understand that there are many different things that can factor into why certain students have fallen through the cracks, not able to gain success in a 'normal' school environment. They're called the 'problem' kids for many reasons---they're always in trouble, no one understands them, they have way too many 'issues' and the list goes on. But behind the label is a young adult with potential and a future to prepare for. Meridian Prep steps in where other public schools have stepped out. They take the challenging cases and give them an environment that is more conducive to their needs. Meridian Prep is a boarding school with a challenging curriculum of academics, group therapy as well as individual, and courses in life skills. With patient teachers and therapists that want to help today's youth become strong, stable individuals, Meridian's students will be given everything they need to become successful, happy, healthy adults.

In the month of October, 1981, the man called Lord Voldemort had a dream. A vision of his own death. More afraid of his own mortality than he had ever been he found a way to kill the boy Harry Potter without ever setting foot in Godric’s Hollow. And it worked. Seventeen years later, Great Britain lives in fear under the fierce rule of Lord Voldemort and his Minister for Magic, Peter Pettigrew. Pureblood and Halfblood young men and women must attend the Slytherin Academy between age sixteen and twenty one. If they or their parents resist, they, along with their Muggleborn yearmates, will be taken by force and made to work as servants in the castle.

It's almost 1999, and outside of the Academy, those who oppose Voldemort are gathering. The Outsiders. But how long will this new resistance last, when Lord Voldemort has eyes everywhere?

You open your eyes to darkness. The air smells stale and confined. Lifting a hand, you feel glass, smooth and curved. Instinctively, your heart beats faster. A tentative push and it rises away from you, swinging to the side. Light filters in through windows above. You blink, your eyes adjusting to the shadowed room as you try to remember what happened.

A thin layer of dust covers everything. There are no panes of glass in the windows. The virus. You remember now. They told you stasis was a precaution. Only a few weeks. A month, at best. Let them get the virus under control.

Standing beside your pod, legs shaking from disuse, you feel a sense of apprehension creeping over you. Your heart beats even faster now. A table nearby has a pile of scrolls on it and, with a sense of foreboding, you cross to find the one with your initials on it.

~~~ The year is 2100. ~~~
Waking Pandora is an AU, post-apocalyptic Harry Potter RPG based partially on the History Channel series Life after People. One hundred years after humanity is destroyed by a Muggle-made virus, people - magical and muggle - are waking up in the stasis pods that had been humanity's bid for survival.
Armed with only a small pack of things, your wits, and limited initial magical ability, you must learn to not only survive but also rebuild the world, brick by brick, and child by child. Anything is possible in Waking Pandora.
Ask yourself this: Do you want to be a vital part of an RPG that is more than just commonplace and routine? Where the world you build is literally the new world of humanity and players can participate as much as they want? Then Waking Pandora is the place for you.
Wake up to a world where Hope and the future is what you make of it. Waking Pandora
Most Wanted: Ron Weasley, Dean Thomas, Harry Potter, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Susan Bones, Lee Jordan, Rodolphus Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy, Parvati Patil and more. Original Character applications being accepted. Ask us how!
"God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players,* to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time."
»»THE INEFFABLE a good omens rpg
The year is 1999 - nine years since the End Times, aka the Apocalypse, aka Armageddon, aka the Day of Final Judgment decided to take a rain check. Life, as it has a way of doing, continued on without a hitch. The Four Apocalyptic Horsepersons parted ways. Them returned to their respective houses in Lower Tadfield. The other miscellaneous supernatural beings, upstairs and downstairs, dealt with mountains of paperwork. The file was put away and that was that. They preferred to pretend it didn't happen. That's bureaucracy for you.
On Sunday, the day after the world nearly ended but didn't, a package was personally delivered to Jasmine Cottage. In it contained the yellowed manuscript of the Further Nife and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter: Concerning the Worlde that Is To Com; Ye Sage Acontinuef! For nine-going-on-ten years, the new book of prophecy has remained in a dusty shoebox underneath the floorboards.
It's the dawn of the third millennium. Y2K is stirring up a craze. The United States is about to give up the Panama Canal to the Panamanian government. Boris Yeltsin is only a few weeks away from resigning and handing over the reigns of Russian presidency to Vladimir Putin. Some woman crossed the Atlantic in a rowboat alone.
What happens when signs of the Armageddon begin to rear their ugly heads again? Will the new book of prophecy come into play once more? Will another great cosmic game of chess start anew, or is it all really just another round of very complicated cosmic Solitaire?
