Lord Voldemort and his regime of Death Eaters were put down for good - and the Wizarding world celebrated in such style that even no Seer could ever have imagined. The light was finally breaking through the clouds. Seven years later in 2004, Wizarding England stands at the cusp of a new Quidditch season. With the darkest ages of the Wizarding world behind them, witches and warlocks alike are prepared to leave their troubles at the door of every stadium - whether they support the Harpies, the Wanderers or Puddlemere United, magic users across the globe are united by one thing: their obsession. The Other Side is an alternate universe Harry Potter post DH game. Stranded in an unfamiliar world, the class of '97/'98 come to the realization that there has never been a Lord Voldemort, here. He is more commonly known in this world as just plain old Tom Riddle, right hand man to she-who-must-not-be-named: Bellatrix Lestrange. The world has been run down since in her hands, and now they are stuck living amongst the miserable people already living under her rule. However, interests peak when they realize that they are accompanied by the Class of '77/'78, including most of their parents. The only problem is, they're just as lost and confused as the rest of them. And, with Bellatrix's henchmen hunting them down and tagging them like animals, what are they supposed to do to get home? Some "Guests", as they name them, choose to try and join her army to save their own tails, whilst others try and plan a means in which to attack. Their theory: they did it once, they can do it again! But will it be successful? With Guests and other civilians dying left and right, they have to make a decision, and quick. A tentative push and it rises away from you, swinging to the side. Light filters in through windows above. You blink, your eyes adjusting to the shadowed room as you try to remember what happened. A thin layer of dust covers everything. There are no panes of glass in the windows. The virus. You remember now. They told you stasis was a precaution. Only a few weeks. A month, at best. Let them get the virus under control. Standing beside your pod, legs shaking from disuse, you feel a sense of apprehension creeping over you. Your heart beats even faster now. Millionaire Cleveland Pickens built the Heritage Lake Lodge in 1910 as a hotel and resort for folks who just wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. He wanted The Lodge to be an oasis -- a luxury lodging facility in tune with the natural world and with the grandeur of nature as close as the backyard. The town of Heritage originally sprang up around The Lodge and Heritage Lake as a community to house the resort workers. What started as temporary housing expanded to a permanent town structure by the 1950s. Resort workers married, started families, and had children. The town grew, and though there are many local businesses and schools, the economy of the town still relies greatly on the success of the Heritage Lake Lodge -- because of the jobs it provides and the tourism it brings to the area.
