a hogwarts-centric, post-battle rpg.
Like every year, young witches and wizards all over Britain prepare themselves for their return to Hogwarts. This time, however, everything feels different. The year is 1998, and the last time they saw their school a battle was taking place: the great Battle of Hogwarts that saw Voldemort fall and where so many others, family and friends alike, also lost their lives. The wizarding world might be in ruins, but it's nothing compared to the school and to the students that survived. How will the recent events affect them? Will they find absolution for what they did?
Absolution is a post-DH game, starting August 1998. It focuses on the rebuilding of the wizarding world through the eyes of the students of Hogwarts and how they deal with the rebuilding of their school and the memories of what happened the previous year. Muggleborns try to return to the lives they had a year before. The children of Voldemort's supporters try to deal with the new stigma that befell them. Those who fought at the Battle try to cope with what they experienced. And everyone tries to mourn their losses and move forward. |

and not much is left
On Christmas Day 2012, four days after the scheduled “end of the world” panic, the world came to a screeching halt. An asteroid, larger than any that had come into contact before, struck the moon, knocking it out of its place in orbit and just a bit closer to the Earth.
The resulting events were catastrophic, Tsunamis buried whole cities, even states in a matter of moments. Earthquakes killed millions. Volcanoes all around the world, spewed hundreds of tons of ash into the skies, blocking out the sun and turning the world a bleak shade of gray.
That was months ago and now for a small band of survivors who’ve managed to make their homes in a small subdivision of duplex homes located in the heart of Blythville, things don’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. Food is growing scarce, fuel is a rarity in and of itself, and time seems to be no one’s friend.

♫ LET'S BE ROCK STARS ♫
It was 1991 and Kirley McCormack was bored. He was out of Hogwarts, and had the rest of his life to look forward to but didn't know what to do with it. He'd never been very good at Quidditch, so he had no interest in following the family tradition. There was one thing he had a passion for, and that was music. A passion that was equally shared by his best friends Myron Wagtail and Donaghan Tremlett. So when the three of them came together, the band was formed, and they called themselves The Weird Sisters.
It was a slow start for the small band. Most of the time was spent writing music and lyrics, while they worked odd jobs to make ends meet. Eventually the three knew that if they were going to be successful, they needed more band members. Eventually the three held open auditions in Hogsmeade, looking for wizards their own age. The result was plenty of musical misfits, and eventually the band of three became eight. It was a change the Weird Sisters needed.
In 1994 when the Weird Sisters spiked in popularity when their songs "Do the Hippogriff", "This is the Night" and their romantic ballad "Magic Works" became big hits on the Wizarding Wireless Network. They were signed with a big record label and started their first major tour, but still performed at smaller gigs, like the Hogwart's Yule Ball. Things were good. They had money, fame, and fans just for writing and performing the music they loved.
The year is 1995, and The Weird Sisters are still on their European tour of the Wizarding World on the road to becoming Rock Star Legends.
