When Morgana was defeated at the hands of Balthazar’s apprentice, Horvath slunk off to lick his wounds and recover from the assault. The fact that Veronica was back in this world -- and back with Balthazar -- only served to add insult to injury. It was no accident that four months after Morgana’s defeat Veronica became Horvath’s primary target. He intended to use her and her power to resurrect the fallen Morgana.
Things there did not go as planned. Horvath was once again interrupted, though in the process, Veronica lost her life. Horvath once again slipped away, leaving Balthazar to mourn the loss of his lover.
Undaunted, Horvath continued to plot ways to bring the dead to life. He devised a plan he was certain should work: the spell was meant to pierce the veil between the lands of the Living and the Dead. That, however, did not proceed as intended. Instead, he punctured the barrier between this reality and all others. With no way to mend the hole, and no way to predict the results, Horvath realizes he has potentially unleashed Chaos on New York.
But then, is that so bad?

Hogwarts, meet the Ministry.
With the latest orders from the Ministry, the structure of the Prefect system at Hogwarts was the first change: Prefects have been paired by year and house, forming a team which cannot assign detentions or take house points without consulting one another. It was from this new policy that the Inquisitorial Squad was reborn: a student-run club designed to train interested students in Ministry issues and conflict resolution. At Hogwarts, things are orderly, organized, and above all, fair - or are they?
Prefects are finding new ways to abuse their powers and control others. Students retaliate in their own ways, bringing personal issues before the Inquisitorial Squad, treating it more like a Hogwarts' version of the Wizengamot than a wizarding Model UN club. A secret society runs amok in the student underground, their activities and intentions mysterious and seemingly neutral -- for now.
In a socially revolutionary game, the members of Absit Invidia invite you to join the new generation of wizards and witches as they return to Hogwarts, the war of their parents forgotten. Their new challenge? The battles of everyday life as a young magician; struggling to make friendships, remember charms and pass classes in the face of adjusted policies and countless possibilities. |

It's the new school year at Piffled and the students have a lot more to worry about than just a bunch of mandatory art electives. A student-run campaign, strengthened by the support of prefects, has changed the Hogwarts curriculum forever. Now a mandatory sexual education course is in place for all students 16 and older. Sex was previously a banned subject at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry under the assumption that "parents took care of that sort of thing" and the students were "too young to be having it anyway". That's old school now. This school year will go down in Hogwarts history as the year that the school expanded itself as being not only a magical institution with the artistic backbone established by the Ministry since 1998, but also as a place that truly prepares young adults for adulthood in the best way they know how. If you thought having The Talk with your mum was awkward, try having it with the Headmaster. ***Piffled has been open since June 2010 and is still running. Focusing on students from 5th to 7th year and recent Hogwarts graduates, it is about to enter the the 2023-2024 school year. An event oriented game, students are encouraged to participate in as many clubs, school activities, and events as possible. As a reminder, all students are required to take one fine art elective "club" to keep up with Ministry requirements as well as the mandatory weekly sexual education course. THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR BEGAN JUNE 1!

Pax Letale: a modern myth game |

PAX LETALE: GODS REBORN
In Southern California, there recently opened a new luxury apartment building. Impeccably designed, impossibly convenient, ideally located, Pax Letale is the sort of residential Shangri La where Southern Californians spend all manner of favors and years trying to secure a spot. But Pax doesn't have a waiting list, nor can a place there be bought or sold. The people who find their way to Pax Letale belong there.
Every tenant of Pax is a reincarnated deity whose worshipers are by and large long dead. Once very real, these gods began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. Reborn as mortals, their essences remain, waiting to be awakened. Somehow, sometimes one by one, sometimes in groups or pairs, these creatures of destiny have discovered Pax, and have not been able to resist its pull.
For at Pax Letale, the awakening has begun. As these gods rediscover themselves and each other, the seemingly invisible but ubiquitous management tracks each of them quite closely, and the very building itself seems to have an agenda of its own. And as the gods made humans in their own image - or humans made them in theirs - so will the the behavior of the people of Pax turn as dark as their myths. Blood, strife, sex, petty plots, torture - even murder will wind their ways into Pax Letale.
A lovely place. A peculiar place. A dangerous place.
Available Tenants:Enki is the Babylonian god of water, crafts, intelligence and creation. Twin of and best friend of Ereshkigal, goddess of the Underworld, he is often seen as a positive foil to his brother Enlil, utilizing his magic and cunning for the good of others; he brings aid to deities and humans alike, serving as a rare masculine nuturer in a chaotic and often oppressively patriarchal pantheon. He will likely have connections to Tiamat, Ereshkigal, and other Sumero-Babylonian deities. Brighid is the Celtic goddess of the forge, inspiration, compassion and creativity, and a patron goddess of artists, craftsmen, and other creative types. In her mortal life, she may have connections to her parents, her siblings, or any of the Celtic pantheon. Masauwu is a Hopi deity sometimes called the Skeleton Man, Keeper of Fire, Spirit of Death, and the Master of the Fourth (present) World. He is depicted as a dark-skinned man wearing a mask; sometimes the creature beneath this mask is described as handsome, sometimes as a disfigured monster. Connections to Native American deities and gods and goddesses of death or enlightenment are likely. ADDITIONAL AVAILABLE TENANTSDon't see a tenant that interests you? Other deities and pantheons are welcome - pick one of the active pantheons in the game, or talk to a mod if there's one you don't see, and make your modern god as you see him/her/it.Pax Letale has re-opened under new management. Everyone who has ever been a student knows just how hard it is to go into the "real" world after graduation. There are so many possibilities and questions - where are you going to work? Where are you going to live? How are you going to pay the bills? Even kids with wands and a wealth of magical history behind them struggle with these problems when they leave the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. It was Headmistress McGonagall who first noted that, post-war, a lot of former students were disenchanted with life and did not achieve all of their goals. A school that once peddled out the best Healers and Aurors in Europe had fallen into the rut of middle management jobs and obscurity. That was, however, until Professor Longbottom came up with a solution: the Work Experience Program. He proposed that, rather than sit through NEWT subjects for jobs the students knew nothing about, that they could actually 'live' in the city and 'work' for themselves for a year (under the guidance of their professors, of course). The program had its first run in 2021 and, with great success, it has been able to run another year. So, good luck, class of 2022! You have a lot to live up to.
