..welcome to the uprising..
It is the year 2001, the Wizarding World of Great Britain has been under the Dark Lord's rule for nearly five years. The Golden-trio is only marginally closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up and held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it; those few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground.
Where will you be when the world as we now know it burns to the ground? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord?
Or will you be part of the Uprising?
Game opened on July 30, 2010. Epic battles are on the horizon, as is the battle between Harry and the Dark Lord, between good and evil. Most wanted characters by other players include: Daphne Greengrass, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Aberforth Dumbledore, Fenrir Greyback, Sally-Anne Perks, Ministry Workers, Order members, On the Run Muggleborns and more. It's 2011 in the New New York City- parallel in every way to its namesake, save for the fact that fictional characters are as alive as any of us and roam the streets undetected. Some of these Fictionals have taken it upon themselves to fight back against the crime and corruption that comes hand in hand with New York; still others see no reason to fight the inevitable; the less moral go as far as to join in the fray. Who will you be and what will you stand for?
Maskerade is a panfandom essences game looking for players who like plot without player-drama. We open May 12th and we’d love if you joined us!

In the beginning, there was only the Creator. And She created the world; its lands and seas, peoples and beasts. She created the Keeper, to rule over the dead. She gave the world to her people, whom She loved dearly, to do with what they would. The people multiplied, forming their cultures and societies, and were faithful to the Creator. And when there were many, the Creator made the Watchers: lesser deities to watch her people and report. You see, there are simply too many people for the Creator to keep track of, too many prayers to answer. The Watchers watch, and tell Her what her creations need.
But they speak in His ear, too.
She gave the Watchers free will, and perhaps that was Her greatest mistake. Not every Watcher is good. Not every prayer is answered by the Creator. The Keeper speaks to the Watchers, too, and He does not want for good in the realm of the living. He wants only to rule all, with the death of all things.
You, the player, are a Watcher, and the choice is up to you. Will you do good or evil? Which prayers will you answer? Which side are you on?
Watchers, Please is an original high-fantasy game in a medieval setting where the players themselves are the gods. You are a Watcher. Characters pray, and players submit requests. Every week, players will vote on which prayers and requests will be answered – and by whom, and how. How do you want to rule? Only one thing is certain: characters should be careful with what they wish for.

Winthrop is just your average town, not far from Boston, Massachusetts. To everyone who lives there, it’s just your normal home. There isn’t anything special about the town, nothing out of the ordinary. There are schools and jobs and your neighbor Helen down the street, but little do the townspeople know, there’s trouble brewing right underneath their noses.
Veridian wants control of all things supernatural. Scratch that, he wants control over all things period. Good. Evil. Supernatural and Human alike. He’s got his own money to burn and a lot of high bidders willing to back him on his mission. He smooth talks and has a way about him that’ll make you think that if you help him, he’ll help you. But does he have what it takes to take the reigns or will he be overthrown before he succeeds in his efforts? A war between good and evil is spiraling beyond control and still the people of Winthrop sleep soundly and completely unaware.
So where do you play your part? Will you side with Veridian or are you more virtuous? Are you completely in the dark, living your life as though nothing is happening?
