Hey there! boston_mafia is a mafia RPG based in Boston, MA (name kind of says it all). The community focuses on the war that is happening between three main families (Irish, Italian and Russian). Some are allies, some are enemies. They all have their differences and all want full control of Boston and the surrounding cities.
We welcome original characters! We're in desperate need of more law enforcement, FBI, state troopers, cops. Dirty cops are welcome, too!
We're getting close to hitting our first year of being open and we're trying out some new things to keep everyone involved. Check us out! Adds are normally done Wednesdays and Saturdays, but on occasion they're done as applications come in!

Chicago is at war. Since the Sabbat Invasion in 2002, Chicago has become a contested city. Luc, the newest Prince of Chicago, struggles to retain Camarilla leadership after the mysterious disappearance of the former Prince Lodin, now believed to be dead. The Justicars and Primogens question if the inexperienced Luc can handle the civil unrest of the city and threaten to remove him as Prince. Meanwhile, the Sabbat plan to move in, taking full advantage of this weakening Camarillia regime. Francis, and Archbishop of the Sabbat, questions who to trust in his counsel -- as all are vying for his position once control is gained of Chicago. An influx of Kindred of all clans alike have flooded the city in hopes to regain a strong hold for their respective factions. Allegiances are questioned, treaties are made and broken, and loyalty has become a bargaining chip in the vampire war for Chicago.
Set in real time in modern day (or night, rather!) Chicago, Chicago by Night is a World of Darkness/Vampire: the Masquerade RPG.

Musings - A Fictional Essence RPG Musings has always existed, a world alongside our world.
In Musings, people live the way we do, eat the same food we do, love the same way we do, and work the same minimum wage jobs we do. The differences? They all have their roots in fictional characters, and they are immortal.
Though they are not the characters themselves, they carry in them the essences of characters from fiction. The sources that they spring from do not exist for them, but they are based on fiction we are familiar with all the same - though no one has ever read a Batman comic, there is a rich young man who uses his money to fight the forces of evil that destroyed his life. Though Moby Dick was never written, a sailor still stalks the bars of a town on the sea, watching, waiting.
Now, a portal has opened between the world of Musings and the mortal world, and the Creations (as they call themselves) have begun crossing over in droves. Now, they have abilities that they did not have in their own world, abilities that they can choose to do with what they will. There is no great prescribed fate for these echoes of fiction, only the destinies they choose to weave for themselves - living and losing on the shores of a new world.
Available Characters include: Fiyero (Wicked), Night Owl II (Watchmen), Jo Harvelle (Supernatural), Mycroft (Sherlock Holmes), Wickham (Pride and Prejudice), Sebastian (Twelfth Night).

•Mod Contact Post | In the 1950s a secret organization was started to test the limits of human genetics. This organization was called the Helix Initiative. Science was moving faster than ever to the new horizon of the future and they were determined to be the first to bring humans to the future.
In 2009, a chemical formula was created that affected people with a certain genetic structure. In a world-wide incident that would later be claimed as multiple terror attacks, the chemical was released into the world’s water sources. Whether this was an action of the Initiative themselves or a rogue agent looking to cause chaos in the world is still up for debate.
As of January 2010 stories began to surface around the world of people who could perform amazing feats such as fly, turn invisible, even read minds. Helix began to find and ‘collect’ these special humans; deceiving some by offering help, or abducting others if they resist. No one knows the location they have been taken, somehow they always fall asleep during the ride or just miraculously appear in the medical ward of the building.
Here they will live and receive training to develop control over their powers until Helix decides they are ready to start the second phase of their training.
