Fiver has blurry ideas of where they need to go : somewhere safe, a new home, a planet, far away from the New England galaxy, the rule of Frith and Rainbow Corporation and the greed and war mongering of the Elil. Sometimes they're in the shape of missing limbs, or gouges in the flesh, pain in the joints or chronic headaches. But sometimes, they come in the form of nightmares. Sometimes those nightmares don't go away when you open your eyes, as you're forced to relive the horrors of your past. And sometimes these horrors haunt you your whole life, causing stress on your personal and professional life. Sometimes those horrors and those nightmares are so real, that you can't tell the difference between them, and every day life. That's when the nice young men, in their clean white coats, come to take you away. To The Sanctuary. The Sanctuary, a clean, safe, wholesome environment where former Order Members, former Ministry Aurors, and former Death Eaters can all recover from the horrors of war together, and learn to get along in a calm and controlled space, where everyone gets their own personal room, and an hour a week with a qualified therapist. There are visiting hours, there are group activities, there's a game room, and a large, beautiful garden out back just waiting to help the inhabitants of The Sanctuary ease back into a normal life and cast away their demons. If only it wasn't run by a woman who would be better suited as one of the patients, instead of The Director. Cameras and microphones in every room, journals that are private to everyone but her, and the possibility of a punishment around every corner. What if the Salem Witches' Institute mentioned in Harry Potter happens to be the very same Magic School that has a door directly into the Halliwell Manor? Perhaps centuries ago the Ministry of Magic orchestrated a separation of Church and State that excluded the Elders and WhiteLighters from interfering with European witchcraft. But their reach did not extend to the American colonies where true magic was stifled and only brought into the light in recent generations thanks to the tireless work of WhiteLighters. Now, in 2025, after two great battles have been won against Voldemort and the Ultimate Power, things have changed. Both Hogwarts and Salem Institute are open again. But when the peace of both sides is threatened again, Potters and Halliwells will have to unite wizards and witches everywhere under a common cause. That was the night Sirius Black died, the night the Prophecy was destroyed, and the night the Ministry finally admitted that Voldemort had returned. But something else happened that night, something the Ministry never released. Many of the rooms in the Department of Mysteries were damaged, but the Time Turner room was completely destroyed. 1 July 1996. Exactly one week after that fateful night at the Ministry, a stranger arrives in the Department of Mysteries claiming to be from 24 February 1980. Only after Albus Dumbledore interviews this stranger do they realise that this was the night the Prophecy was made. With each day that passes, more people arrive, some who have been dead for the past sixteen years. No one can explain it, and no one can stop it. In a town that was founded by supernaturals, it's generally accepted by the humans that live there that their neighbors are...a bit eccentric. Everyone has a secret here and what happens in Mysteria, stays in Mysteria. Mysteria is an original rp set in the supernatural/paranormal genre. We are a game with original characters in an original setting. We are not a fandom game but if you like shows like Supernatural, Hex, Reaper, Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Ghost Whisper, The Dresden Files, and Moonlight or movies like Underworld, The Covenant, Skinwalkers, Blood and Chocolate, Van Helsing, Constantine, Blade, and other horror movies, or books by authors such as Jim Butcher, Laurell K Hamilton, Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, and other paranormal writers, then Mysteria is for you. We are character development focused with character and group plots encouraged.
