Little did they know that the Fourth Hallow was with them all along. When Hugo Weasley first left for Hogwarts, he had been given a present that his father hadn't received until his seventh birthday. It looked like an ordinary watch. There was nothing spectacular about it and it had been in the Weasley family for ages. The boys were outside near the Great Lake, Hugo swinging the watch idly in his hand when his cousin Roxanne (or Roxy as he thought of her) set off one of her father's latest inventions on the boys. In Hugo's attempt to get away from the billowing and smelly smoke, the watch struck rock and popped open for the first time in centuries. There was a rip in time and space; a tesseract. The Lowdown: In this game not only can you play the epilogue children and acid babies from JK Rowling's notes and interviews, but also any character who may have died during the books. The children are sent back in time to the year 2000 and become stuck there with their parents even though their parents are of the same age. The Tesseract causes the dead to come back to life and no one knows how to stop it. Jumble that up with a release of prisoners from Azkaban and you have holy plot batman. Just think; a world with Gellert Grindelwald or Tom Riddle! The possibilities are endless. With the newly canonized Harry Potter still ceaselessly hailed as a hero of war, and each suspected Death Eater having long since undergone extreme interrogation and trial, the imminent threat of Darkness has been seemingly extinguished. These are the golden years, a time of peace and alliance between all wizard kind. A time of commercial prosperity and thriving commerce, that is largely due to the steadfast leadership of the reigning Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. But perhaps things are too quiet, too tranquil. Lucius Malfoy, now quickly aging and in somewhat ill health, has paid his theoretical debt to society, and has personally sworn his allegiance to the Ministry and all magical beings within the United Kingdom. Upon his early release from Azkaban, Lucius lost no time in restoring honor to his family name. Credited with creating a great many charitable foundations that he sponsors and funds at his own expense, Lucius is regularly seen in the children’s ward of St. Mungo’s hospital, visiting with the ailing and delivering posh gifts. Indeed, even Narcissa Malfoy has become a frequent public figure of benevolence; often holding prestigious, grandiose Balls and Masquerades at the benefit of her husband’s numerous aid organizations. More quietly, the Malfoy family has instituted another type of establishment. A joint stock company known simply as the “Toujours Pur,” into which many formerly Dark associated families have bought. It is a furtive sort of company that very little is known about, except for the exceedingly public detail that it’s been buying up vast amounts of property and prime real estate. The Toujours Pur own nearly 50% of Diagon Alley, now. They own the illustrious Magisoft Manufacturing Company that has been producing WizPcs, they own flat complexes, they own and monitor the content of the Museum of Sorcery. They are on the very heels of a trade monopoly. And it is at this time that Harry Potter, together with those who are still too wary to accept the retired Death Eaters into society, intends to call for the first meeting that the Order of the Phoenix has seen in nearly eight years. post comment

The Trio’s hunt for Horcruxes hasn’t yielded success since the destruction of Slytherin’s locket in 1997. The Ministry is entering its sixth month of being controlled by the Death Eaters. Under Minister William Travers, personal liberties are at an all-time low and Muggleborns are practically slaves. At Hogwarts, the Carrows wreak havoc on the student body, with Headmistress Umbridge’s guidance and blessings. As they find themselves, one-by-one, on the Undesirables list, members of the Order of the Phoenix are moving into Number 12 Grimmauld Place, one of the only places they are safe. Disorder and oppression have become the status quo. On the other hand, the Purebloods of society have found themselves in a Renaissance. Those who do not help the Death Eaters – or their un-Marked, junior faction, the Reactionary Federation – are taking to their legally established superiority with Golden Age decadence. Parties, marriages, and grandiose displays of wealth and power are commonplace. The Death Eaters and members of the Reactionary Federation, on the other hand, take their newfound power and use it to advance the Dark Lord’s aims amongst the populace. Whether they do so through laws, abuses of power, or outright terrorism depends on the person, but they make it known that there is a new order in the world, and that it will not suffer challengers. Rent Asunder is a new Harry Potter RPG that opened on January 13th. We are AU post-HBP and, although we incorporate elements of the plot from DH, we do not use the same timeline and do not consider the epilogue. Ever at the Ready [17 Jan 2008|05:11pm] - Mod Journal - RP Comm - OOC Comm - - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team!
