rpg_reviews is a new community that accepts moderated-submitted games for review. Working from a detailed rubric, rpg_review_mod assembles a thorough review of the game as a whole. Great for players who want to make informed decisions and excellent for moderators looking to establish themselves in the RPG community with a strong, respected game. Each submission is guaranteed a review, an html banner, and full rights to repost/quote sections of their review.

	Wow, I'm all for improving how we play -- but isn't this a bit much? I mean, honestly - what happened to games just being a fun, relaxing space? A lot of RPers work, or study. There's enough performance reviews going on in our day-to-day REAL LIVES without it needing our hobbies criticised to an enth degree. (Reply to this) (Thread)

We're sorry to hear that you feel that way and would like to invite you to come back later today when we have posted our first review.

As roleplayers we celebrate good games, we enjoy playing them, and more than anything, we'd like more good players to know about them. This isn't a community meant to belittle anyone, and we feel that maybe that wasn't necessarily communicated.

This community is based from several mod resource communities that have either died out, or are on hiatus. Several have come before us, and I'm sure that more will come after. We're in no way unique, save for the fact that rather than let an anonymous community do the reviewing, we've chosen to do so ourselves. This was created without hostility, and by roleplayers who also work and enjoy a little escapism. It's a moderator's resource and works by submission only. The rubric exists to show where some games excel and others might lack- with the intent of helping games improve with an outsider's opinion.

We assure you, and anyone out there who feels the same concern, that this community was created to celebrate roleplay, not condemn games or the people who play them.
