Code Tester
Hey guys! So, normally, I send people to DRAAC to live-test their HTML and div styled codes but, recently, they've added, uh.

And, idk about you guys, but for me it's super distracting. I was getting a bit sick of all the text on the page anyway, so here you go. A new code tester based on their code (because I'm lazy lmao), with a clean, un-distracting page layout.

Just like DRAAC's, my code tester is good for HTML codes, div styled codes, and full HTML/CSS pages (but not CSS alone). Oh and, even after previewing, CTRL+Z still works, which is always a big bonus for me.

ooo awesome! though the opening in a new window thing freezes my browser something awful, sadly.

since it doesn't need its own post, i hope you don't mind if i drop this link in here case anyone has the same issue and wants one that opens in the same window without the freeze-up!

It does? D: Does it also do that in Draac, or is it just mine?

(Also, that's totally fine ♥)

theirs does as well! i'm using firefox, but to be fair my browser has a lot going on so forcing a new window to popup can make things stall a little bit.

Ahhh, good good. At least it's not my fault lmao. I'll look into refining the Draac code I used soon. :3

I use a testjournal so I can see it in an actual IJ page. ;-)

I used to, too, but ngl, I really prefer saving myself pageclicks/pageloading time. That, and you can use code testers to test more than an IJ/LJ entry would allow; like if I wanted to edit an entire webpage, but didn't want to save the changes without seeing them first.

I like to set an entry to private then tell it to post on a comm that's using the s1 style system. That way, it won't accidentally post (no private entries on comms) and I can see it live with the preview function outside a journal layout and still get the auto save of the draft just in case.

That said, your code tester is awesome and works very well on Puffin and Dolphin HD via a Nook Tablet. Gotta admit: the main reason I never gave draac a try was the cluttered layout.

Ahhh, yeah. That'd def work.

I hate the page's layout too (So much 90s. So much text, lmao.), but I generally could ignore it. But the sidebar attached to the textbox in a table; I really couldn't ignore that. It just throws me off sfm when I'm working, even when I expand the box. So I figured it was time to just have my own code tester, since I'd been thinking about it for a while as it was.

(On a sidenote, Idk about other browsers, but times when Chrome would crash/my comp would shut down, Draac always had the code I was working on upon session restore, so I assume my tester will too.)
