news media part one: psd

Type: [.PSD] iPhone, with a faux CNN News Application

Compatibility: Photoshop 7.0 and up. Theoretically this should also work in Pixlr and GIMP, but I haven't tried.

What is customizable? Slightly short of everything. Customizable text elements include: iPhone time (1:09 PM), News Navigation (Top Stories-Crime), Breaking News Headline, and the three related news stories.

Customizable images include: News logo (This is CNN's app, but it can be easily changed to a fictional news source, or another outlet), Breaking News photo (407 x 314), and three smaller related story images.

What the heck is this for?: An excellent question! I'm a nerd, and I love worldbuilding. Small touches from a moderator, or a player, can really help spark and energize the entire cast, and sometimes a small visual reference goes a long way. Social media applications suit a variety of different game-worlds. This particular 'Breaking News' sample was created with X-Men in mind, but it could suit nearly a dozen other games/fandoms. For example: A final news report about the zombie apocalypse before the media blackout, celeb headlines, Marvel/DC, or even Harry Potter (what's the Muggle interpretation of your in game magical events?).

This is provided in a .PSD format for simplicity's sake. Anyone can easily open this document, slide in a new photo, and change the text. The work is already done for you, and you can quickly change the information in under 15 minutes, and get back to your game.
