Boy has an empty house in Tuxedo Park, in Marvel, that no one's using. Might never get used again. My place in Gotham is just as empty, and heck knows I'm not going home soon. His aunt Penny's in Gotham, and she's got her own place, I reckon, in Marvel. He's also got an Aunt Fran in Gotham, and she's got her own place. And his best-friend Carson was going to some pretty hotel last I heard, on account of her having money.

Last thing that child is, is homeless any.

He's got places, and he can't hate every damn relation he has on account of his daddy sending him off to live with his grandmomma and grandpoppa. I tried to talk to him, but he won't talk to me any. Maybe it's this place has me ornery, but I love that boy like breathing, and he cut me off without even asking my side of anything. If he's staying on the street, it being sheer spoiled, and that ain't how he was raised. We don't put folks out, not where we're from. No reason he won't stay with his best friend. She ain't got nothing to do with Graham. Neither does his Aunt Franny, since she's on his momma's side. You try them. If not, there's money in my Gotham apartment, and diamonds in my safe. You get him a place of his own.

Good as can be without showering in weeks.

Wrote him, but he didn't say anything to me about it. His daddy told him, and I'm guessing he hates me for it. He's not going back to my place, so that's telling. Won't answer me neither. Know he's posting, on account of Carson saying, but he's blocking his posts so I can't see them any.

Honey, Graham comes in here by his own damnself for fun. We'll be just fine.

Love that boy more than anything. Didn't realize he could turn on me so quick. Guess that learns me something.

Know Graham's dumb as rocks, and sending Jake to live with his grandmomma and grandpoppa might sound wrong from the outside. But there were folks that killed my sister, and they would have gone after a little boy without thinking it over too hard. Sending Jake to his grandparents was to keep him safe, and those folks doted on him like he was the sun in the sky.

I'm sorry. Maybe he's just not adjusting well. [...] I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, here, but it's hard for me to say anything either way as an outsider to all this. I'll agree with you that it doesn't make much sense if what you say is true, but sometimes the way we feel about thing doesn't make sense. Maybe he's just putting what he feels about his father on you, and maybe that doesn't change even with his grandparents treating him well. It's not right, but it happens, and he's young.

You mean my folks? [...] I got a lot of them. And they all talk to one another and they all plan things out and decide, when I don't know nothing about nothing. They've been doing it since my mo~~mma~~ mother died. Graham, he's found himself a new family. But they'll fret over wanting things back how they put them in the first place. I don't want to be tidied up. I know I can't stay here long, but I can go if it's real trouble to stay after this.

	She's not there. She's trapped in another door. Clem described the girl as being Graham's when I asked her about her. I took that to mean she didn't feel like she had a say in anything about raising the child, or telling anyone about her. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
