I don't know who has plans this Thanksgiving, but I intend to find an open restaurant and drink. Anyone who would like to join me in not cooking is welcome to do so.

[ETA: Locked to Iris M]

Iris, we're having an informal Thanksgiving celebration at a restaurant here. You're welcome to come, if you're interested.

[After watching the fascinating little sibling tit-a-tat.]

Thank you, Louis, but I've already been invited somewhere. I'm going to see if Charles I'm going to try to make that one. Perhaps we can get a drink post-holiday. In recovery?

This is like, the most formal Thanksgiving rejection I have ever read. The only thing missing is your email signature, which I know you have. Don't ask me how. It's a gift (or a curse, really).

Tell me I'm wrong. You can feel it too, can't you? The

- Preston R(lastname)

Very maybe including a quote by, idk, a librarian, I think, someone famous about a book.

“To learn to read is to light a fire; every syllable that is spelled out is a spark.”
- Victor Hugo

is a a srs contender.

Preston R(lastname) or Victor Hugo? bc I feel pretty confident in my read that Preston R(lastname) is a man who sits at a desk.

Preston R(lastname). Librarians walk around. Disqualified. Maybe he's a secretary.

Yes. This. In an entirely legit, non-gendered way. Sending hella important emails about scheduling the meeting room with his Victor Hugo down there flapping in the digital wind.

I'm not convinced Preston R(lastname) flaps, baby.

You do know the kind I mean!

I can see it, but dude, dial-up. Shit's as slow as your grandmother's balls, which is a) a phrase I never knew I wanted to say until I said it, and b) something that can't really be calculated, but which can be imagined and theorized upon, given the general speed (or lack thereof) when it comes to grandmothers and, also, balls, in their most stationary, least pendulous state.
