A hotel with doors to multiple realities. Something like that could have spared so many sick team members.

Though, yeah, it also goes against pretty much everything we've been working toward for the past while.

Imagine you're an overly curious traveler and you come across a place that lets you view and access ever reality there is. You can see into it, make changes, go to and from, and pull any person from one reality and dump them into another. That's got the potential to cause chaos.

Now imagine your world is trudging along doing pretty well on it's own. Maybe it's not perfect, but it's working. Someone who just stumbled in on this place that lets them alter your world from somewhere else hits the wrong button and all of a sudden an outside force changes everything. Suddenly you've got an all powerful terrorist on your hands, or a war, or maybe the end of everything. It never would have happened if those travelers hadn't poked at something they weren't supposed to outside of your reality.
