Entry tags:!teen wolf, *log, allison argent, peter parker

Who: Allison Argent and Peter Parker (is there an award for most random canon pair up?)
What: Dream Sharing! (aka Allison has a thing for quippy dudes and Peter has a bad habit of finding the girls with the best hair)
Where: Allison's brain
When: Recent-ish
Warnings: None that I can think of unless this dream goes to a really weird place.

The set up was the same, one minute she was doing something mundane like brushing her teeth, and the next minute she was standing in a darkened forest surrounded by ominous looking paths and the howling of wolves in the background. The howling of wolves in the background she almost felt like she'd put there to make her feel safer. She knew it was her mind, she couldn't control what was happening to her, she didn't know what Kira meant when she said to close a door. But she kept in mind every time she found herself back in the surreal world that had been created because of what she'd done to find her father.

As scary as it all was, it was worth it.

It was the woods outside Beacon Hills so if she went east she should run into the Hale house, if she went West she'd find the highway, but these were conversations she'd had with herself time and time again. She was trying to keep track in her mind of all the directions she'd gone, but it was different every time. It felt hopeless.

There was a crack of a stick snapping behind her and she whipped her body around bracing herself for the mocking face of her dead Aunt. But that was not at all what she saw. Instead she saw a boy, lanky, and dangling from a tree. And also dressed as Spider-Man. Because of course Spider-Man was a guest star in her nightmare.

She looked at him for a moment, she had forgotten if she'd fallen asleep or not. She was having an uncomfortable inception moment and she didn't know what, if anything, to say to him. So she tilted her head a little expectantly and raised her eyebrows after a moment. "How did you get here?"

"Oh, cool. Since we're in your head, I can say embarrassing stuff with no lasting ramifications like you're super cute, right?" Spider-Man quipped out at lightning speed. He let go of the tree branch and hung from his feet, crossing his arms and eyeing the woods suspiciously as if they were going to make a record of all the embarrassing things he was capable of saying and doing.

"Wait, are you- you're eighteen right? Or older? Wow, Spidey. You're on a roll tonight." Self high-five. "Tell me about Beacon Hills. Which totally doesn't sound like a real place, FYI." Spidey walked along the branch upsidedown as if he was rightside up and on the ground. He paced, back and forth, and it was immediately clear that he did not like being on the ground at all. Spider-Man avoided it at all costs like he was playing an extreme version of the floor is lava.

Spider-Man was in her dream. And telling her she was cute. Spider-Man was in her dream, word vomiting adorable Spider-Man things, and she was wondering what - if anything - this had to do with the door she had to close. As much as she was on high alert, this divergence from the normal Allison Argent dream canon - was pretty spectacular.

"Yes," she said smiling widely and even laughing. "I'm eighteen. And thank you for the compliment, it's not every day Spider-Man walks into my dreams to tell me I'm super cute."

She sighed loudly and shrugged a little, "It's a place that is definitely real. And definitely cursed by the Gods," she said eyes widening as she thought over the multiple articles of proof she had. "We seem to be a nice place where werewolves come to live, and nothing is the way it seems, and teachers keep trying to kill us." She pondered something for a moment, "And in the interest of full disclosure - I may or may not actually be sleeping right now, because sometimes I dream during the day and my dead Aunt could show up here at any moment and be generally awful," the last part came out quickly, as if she couldn't quite bear to bring the room down - let alone inadvertently summon Aunt Kate right to them. "I don't suppose, while you were on cruise control, you happened to see a door anywhere? Any kind of a door? Or rather any kind of a door that is specifically open...closed doors are plentiful. I need to find the one that's open."

"Cool. Cool, cool, cool." Spider-Man made a motion like he was wiping his forehead and then continued pacing back and forth as she talked. Werewolves? Bad teachers? Dead stuff? This was not his wheelhouse at all. But, he was curious, she was cute and this was a nice detour from New York and spidey friends drama. He stopped at the trunk of the tree and attached himself to it like- well like a spider and crawled a little closer to the ground.

"Why's your dead Aunt being a pill?" Spider-Man asked and then whispered "Are we allowed to say her name aloud?" He inched up his shoulders like a librarian just told him to shut it after causing a ruckus in the non-fiction section and then narrowed his eyes in thought. "A door? Mayhaps I did. Mayhaps. We could swing back that-a-way? Are you afraid of heights?" He held his hand out for her and it was a little Aladdin on his magic carpet, but he didn't care.

He was being so calm about the whole thing that it almost had her forgetting that this was not a safe place. He was quippy, and goofy, and she had a soft spot for quippy and goofy.

She thought over his question, why was her aunt being a pill? The answer was long and convoluted. "A while back we had to do something to help our parents. That something opened some kind of door in our minds. For me the door opened and my dead aunt crawled out of it. Now I have to close the door or else bad things are going to get worse. And I have no idea what any of it means." She was pretty sure the abridged version made even less sense than the actual version, and she chewed a little nervously at the inside of her lip while her once steady hands shook a bit at her sides and she clenched her fists to make it stop.

The scenery around them became a bit fuzzier, it didn't shift, they were still in the woods but the directions seemed to have changed, just a bit and only if you looked closely. Which she always did when she was here. She didn't have to look to see, the space that had been empty around her was significantly more crowded. Not by a person. Or a ghost. Or another Spider-Man. But the gigantic angry stump of the Nemeton growing out of the ground. It hadn't been there before. She looked at the hand that he held out and grabbed it quickly. "We need to go. I'm not afraid of heights." But she was afraid of what was coming next if they didn't leave.

"Then, let's go find your door." No, Spider-Man wasn't afraid. Maybe that first jump into the unknown made his skin crawl, but he looked a lot scarier things in the face than some haunted woods. Dead Aunt or not. He looked at the ground as something started to stir and was ready to fight it, but she was telling him to go. "You're in charge...wait you didn't give me a name. Right? Did I just forget it?"

He pulled her up and slung her arm around his shoulder before holding his hand out and shooting out webbing from his wrist. They swung and the crisp air felt great. New York smelt terrible, kind of like how you got used to smell socks in the corner of your room, but these spooky pines smelt like dirt and leaves and awesome. The swung from pine to pine until he was starting to feel like he wanted to show off for her and shot off towards a really huge tree, making them freefall for a second before being hurled back up towards the sky.

"You good?" He called as they practically hit the moon before soaring back down. "Look, I don't think running is a good idea. Let's find this door, I'll fight whatever monster tries to hurt you and you shut it. Deal?"

"Allison, my name is Allison Argent," she said as she held on around his shoulders and closed her eyes for the initial moment of lift off. This was absolutely insane, but it was already taking a better turn than most of her dreams.

She opened her eyes after a moment, still not sure she would ever get used to the swooping feeling as her stomach dropped. But she felt safe. Perhaps she'd invented herself a quirky goofy Superhero for a reason (it was all she could think of). The Spider-Man manifestation of Scott, or just Spider-Man in general, or maybe it was just some bad sushi. Either way. She felt like there might be an end in sight.

"I'm good," she answered, she was holding on tightly but her eyes were open and she was starting to enjoy herself. Even if he was flying from limb to limb and tree to tree. She had always wanted to fly.

"I think I have to fight her myself," she said obviously not thrilled with the prospect. "Let's find the door. And get it closed." She agreed. She hoped regardless of whatever was coming after them, Kate, anything else she could conjure up that scared her - they'd be able to do this. This was her shot. Her brain had sent help. She was going to take it.

In the distance, Peter could see a clearing and in the middle of it was a big, glowy rectangle. Door? He was guessing door. With another zooom through the air and they landed gracefully in the middle of the clearing. He carefully put Allison down, holding her by the waist until she wasn't so wobbly and then looked around.

"My spidey sense is a little dulled here." Peter thought it had something to do with the fact that this was her dream and not the real world. But, he could feel something. Not to get cute, but it felt a lot like a tiny, angry spider crawling up his leg. "Something's coming. I'm crossing my fingers for a big, marshmallow giant. I've always wanted to fight one of those."

In all of her searching, she hadn't expected the door to be such a...Door. She'd seen a dozen doors in her dreams and nightmares, some led to hallways full of them. But this one. This one was different and she was still carefully examining it while her companion mentioned something that may or may not be coming.

She shook her head then, looking over her shoulder, away from the door, at him. "It's not near as much fun as all that I'm afraid." She knew who it was. It was her aunt. And she was getting closer. Her throat ripped out, her eyes full of hate and disgust, Allison saw the angry face in her mind before Kate had even approached. But when she did catch the initial glimpse and hear the other woman calling her name, goading her, she immediately started trying to push the heavy door closed. It didn't budge, but she pushed harder and harder and screamed with the force of it. She was afraid to turn around, she knew Kate would be right there, even if Spider-Man was capable of holding her off - she was always right there.

"You should totally give me the full back story on this later." Spider-Man didn't scare easy, not with years of fighting gross old guys in Vulture suits. The aunt made him think of his aunt, who was nothing like this, but it also made him think of his uncle and how messed up would he be if his biggest problem was a ghoul version of him terrorizing Spidey's dreams? He shivered once and then posed, feet firm on the ground and crouched, ready to jump.

"Maybe over s'mores? I want marshmallows now." Spidey frowned at her as she tried to close that door with all her might. He wasn't expecting the aunt to appear behind him so when she did he gave a loud, AAAHWHY! and shot webs at the monster, one in her eyes and the other at her feet. Super kick time? Super kick time.
