If you happen to be a fan of comic books and you need a decent paying part time job, I've still got some positions open at the shop. We open next week. Drop me a line.

[Selina K.]

Dinner?

Perfect timing. I was just working up an appetite.

Did you learn anything worthwhile on your dino spirit quest?

I learned that I adore running water, safecracking and very thick conditioner.

Not even close. I'm working on that now, my way.

[Cursor.] This dinner invitation, is Em cooking? Because I think she might be avoiding me. But I'll be the first to admit I'm a little sensitive about that these days.

If your way doesn't involve grand theft, I'll be very disappointed.

Oh no, I don't think she can cook. [Blink.] Don't tell her I said that. [Blink.] But, I don't think she's upset at you. She's shy, Selina.

[Sure, she was anon last time, but she remembers his name.]

What if you like comic books, but have a distinct inability to be silly that's only mildly amusing?

Analysis inconclusive. Height was 5'7", not 5'8". Theory is possible, but not confirmed.

So, let me ask you something. Have you read the comics from this world? They're completely different from any in "the real world" and almost as popular.

[...] No? I haven't been here very long. Which is the most popular? And which is your favorite?

Well, there's a lot that try to tell stories similar to the real life super heroes around here. Instead of Iron Man, it's Steel Sir. Instead of The Hulk, it's The Bulk. They're popular, but very lame. [Blink.] My favorite is about a hard-boiled detective who is also some kind of steam ghoul. He may not find love, but he'll find the truth.

Also, it goes without saying that we'll be selling DC Comics. They don't exist here, not yet, but I know a guy in the Supernatural door.

So you're saying that even if I were silly enough for one normal person, that it may not be an acceptable level for him? Or that his level of silly can make up for the lack of such in other people?
