There are speakers louder than mine. I wish those, for any coin you would name. What are the best?

And what best vinegar for the floor and sage for the head?

I can't help with your speakers or cleaning your floors, but what are you trying to do to your head, sugar?

Your head's ringing? This something caused by those speakers you're saying are louder than yours some?

Totally doable. Problem is, if you're blasting music super-loud your neighbours might not like it. Like the person down there said, headphones are a good option. That way you can drown out everyone else and no one'll call the cops with a noise complaint.

Why don't people call the cops? Well, I think a lot of the time it's used as a threat. To scare people. Like, hey, if you don't knock that off I'll call the cops! It's a deterrent. But actually calling them might be more trouble than it's worth, or maybe they won't be able to do much.

[She posts a picture for him.] You wear them and then connect it to a music player. And then the music plays from those cute little ear muffs and no one has to know you like Taylor Swift.

[He takes a guess, from the formal language, that this is the Matt that Gwen was telling him about. He taps the eraser end of his pencil against his book for a minute as he plans what to say.]

I agree with the suggestion of headphones, which yes, are like speakers that you wear over your ears. They make a wide variety of them. Some that are very small and fit into your ear, some that are larger almost like cups that cover your entire ear. And some of them are noise cancelling, [How to explain...] so that they make the [...] noise of the world seem quieter. I can help you get a pair if you'd like.

[...] I should introduce myself better. I'm Bruce, and I know Gwen. She asked if I could [...] examine your eyes?, if that's something you're interested in trying. Though I can't promise anything. Even now, sight can be a tricky thing.

Quiet speakers?

The physician. Thy timing is opportune, sir, but I wish it known that your cures involving dull blades in my eyes are of no interest to me. A Derry man once suggested it to my mother long since, and learned of her sharp fishwife tongue. Tell me of these examines?

It's a combination of how they're constructed and [...] another very quiet sound they make that counteracts the outside noise. [Scrambling for a comparison.] Like the way running water can make it hard to hear other things, but you can still hear the music just fine.

Well, more of a [...] scholar. But I've learned a lot, and so I get asked to stand in as a physician for people I know here. [!!!] I have no intention of doing anything of the sort. Even if surgery would be a possible option, there would never be any sort of [...ugh.] dull blades. I was just going to look. And [...] if you wouldn't be against coming here, I have [Oh lord, how to explain JARVIS?] access to a [...] mechanical assistant who can see better than any person can.

[It takes a second to translate.] It's something to try, at least. Maybe the noise-cancelling tone will be too much, but it might not. I don't think we can know until you try. [...] Your hearing is [...] overly sensitive?

Just looking. I'm not the kind of guy that goes in for doing things to people without their approval.
