SNEAKING AROUND

Sometimes, no matter how happy a person is in their relationship, temptation becomes too great and they succumb to desire. This is a meme revolving around the build up to, the act, and the aftermath of an unfaithful significant other. Some of the content in this meme might be considered triggery material for those sensitive to the subject, so tread lightly and with caution.

TEMPTATION: It's not really cheating if you're just looking and fantisizing, but not touching, right?
ONE-TIME THING: You might not be in love with the person and it really won't happen again, but that doesn't take away from the fact that you're still in a relationship and it's still cheating.
FOR THE THRILL OF IT: One or both of you love the thrill of sneaking around behind the significant other's back(s). You're not in love, but you do this all the time because it makes you feel alive.
LONG-STANDING AFFAIR: You're not feeling fulfilled in your current relationship, so you're looking elsewhere for the affection and attention you've been missing. You might even be leading something of a double life to achieve it.

She slips through his window at around 8. She knows he's still out with Scott, but she needed to get there first. Compose herself.

She sits down on the bed, but stands up again; she's anxious. It wasn't like she meant for it to happen. They were looking for her mother and she was emotional. He comforted her, one thing led to the next-- she never was that great at impulse control. Everything felt so safe with him too, like they knew each other their entire lives. There was a passion there that it seemed she and Stiles lost these days. He's angry, keeping secrets, so was she. Now the anger's gone, though. She's just filled with the crushing pressure of the disloyal act that will break his heart and break their relationship.

She's sorry, actually. She wasn't thinking about him at all when it happened, and she didn't until she was on her way back home. It was a mistake. She hears the doorknob turn from downstairs and his footsteps as he walks up to the bedroom. She turns to the door, she wants more time to think out her approach, but it's too late. Time to face her fear.

Stiles makes his way to his bedroom after getting home from being out with Scott, and he nearly has a heart attack when the first thing he sees when he opens the door is Malia sitting on the bed. "Jesus, f—holy crap," he gasps, his heart leaping into his throat at the unexpected presence in his bedroom.

"Hey...you scared me. What are you doing here? Did you have to wait long?" he asks, closing the door behind himself and moving the rest of the way into the room to join her on the bed.

"Theo and I slept together. I was looking for my mom and he offered to help, he said he found a lead and we went to check it out. It was a death trap, but we saved each other and then... it was only one time. I don't feel anything towards him." She shifts uncomfortably then stands up, taking a few steps away from the bed.

She turns back to face him, "I'm sorry, Stiles."

	That...is not what he's expecting to hear come out of Malia's mouth and it shows on his face. For a moment, he just stares back at her, like he isn't sure he heard her right...because of all the people in the whole world she could cheat on him with, she wouldn't choose Theo, right? "...you did what?" he finally blurts out in her wake as she starts moving. (Reply to this) (Parent)
