"I'd try to help, but you know me." Cora stated, pretty plainly, though, to lessen the sting of how callous it might sound...she squeezed Kate's hand. "Being reassuring isn't my strong suit."
And it definitely wasn't. Much as Cora understood how important family, and pack, were...it didn't mean that she had much advice or encouragement for her girlfriend about the current issue at hand. She didn't know what would make it better. Derek was important to her, and she knew that his word would have weight, whether she wanted it to or not. So, she knew what Kate was facing, at least in a small way.
Most of her knew that Derek probably wouldn't care, and yet still...nothing had been said. "I'm sure it'll be....not terrible." Cora finished lamely, then gave a small smile.
