Cora still hated Beacon Hills, California, and maybe even the US, to a degree, anyway. There had been a degree of healing toward that hatred of the home that she had once loved as a child. Her brother was here, her life even, was tethered here. She could only run away for so long.
She could only avoid her problems for so long.
Coming back, staying there, had forced her to face them. It had also forced her to stop being the lone wolf that she had very much regressed into. And with this forced forward momentum in not protecting herself from everything, from family, from friends, and everything in-between....well Cora had found more than just friends, she'd found a relationship, a girlfriend.
Cora was private, almost to a fault. So, she didn't talk about said relationship, to anybody. A somewhat rare smile pulled at Cora's face as Kate greeted her with a kiss, returning the affection. "Hey." Cora looked over at Kate, the smile not even managing to disappear just yet. Though, her eyebrow did quirk a bit. "Miss me that much?"
