THE REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD MEME

You and this other person have been apart. Longer than either of you maybe planned, longer than either of you wanted. Now though you've been reunited. How does it feel? Does time change things, or do you pick up right where you left off?

How to Play:
  1. Post with your character | fandom | and any preferences.
  2. Be sure to mention any scenarios you are interested or not interested in playing.
  3. Tag Others.
  4. Be awesome to each other.
  5. Have fun!

Use the RNG to help you pick or choose on your own!

PROMPTS
  1. ROMANTIC: You two are together, even though you were apart the feelings never changed. You love this person and you want to show them just how much you missed them.
  2. PLATONIC: Because sometimes missing your BFF is the absolute worst.
  3. AIRPORT: AKA the movie reunion. Go run, go leap, go hug the crap out of that person.
  4. QUIET: Sometimes reunions don't need the fanfare. Sometimes it's just enough to quietly reconnect with that person you've been missing.
  5. I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD: For when you didn't think you'd ever see that person again.
  6. AFTER A FIGHT: Yeah, you guys screwed up. Slammed doors, maybe threw a few things. But absence makes the heart grow fonder and you'd be damned if you just couldn't get them off your mind while you were apart.
  7. OBLIGATORY SMUT OPTION: Do we need to explain?
  8. WILDCARD: Not interested in any of the options or have an idea of your own? Do your own thing; you do you!

(For sure! OCs of the supe variety are some of my faves. My boy phases through walls and such :])

( Mine's an AU future kid of Superman, so she's got pm all of his abilities. What do you have in mind for the airport - why was he gone, etc? I can write a start, but I'll need a little guidance for their assumed relationship (bffs, colleagues, romantic partners, etc) and where he was/how long he was gone and then I'll roll with it if that's cool? )

(In my verse Teddy was on the hero track since high school, but he never took a 'Name' and, instead, went to search for his older brother who'd left home for reasons that totally deserved the underlining lol. So consider Teddy known, if at all, for his unfilled potential. Lets go with he's been off the radar for a year or two? Also we have two supes in the same thread. So what about an old hat bomb/criminal threat at the airport that demands their attention in a 'is there a doctor on this plane' type of way? Also why not start at former bffs with some strain at Teddy's abrupt disappearance and see where the writing takes us?)

The text message came out of nowhere. Casey hadn't heard from Teddy in...what, almost two years? If she was being honest, she'd sort of given up hope that he was ever going to come back at all and while it had been hard as hell to get over that initial hump of losing her platonic better half, Casey had finally dragged herself out of the slump she'd put herself in by missing him.

...and then came the text to meet him at the airport. Why the hell was he even flying? He could've texted her before getting on a plane and he could've been back home faster than it took to send the text, never mind however many hours he'd been flying on some dumpy airplane. He knew he could've been flying Air Casey, so what the hell? Was something wrong? she wondered.

It took about sixty seconds to reach the airport. Being faster than a speeding bullet had its perks. The passengers are disembarking and Casey's standing a little ways off, waiting. Being Supergirl had its perks, too; like not having to buy a boarding pass to go through security. Of course he'd be one of the last ones off the plane and when she finally sees him come off the jetway, Casey can't decide if she wants to hug him or smack him for going off the radar for so long without much of a word. And, since she can't decide, she just stands there, staring at him with her lips pressed together into a thin line and her brow creased with the flood of memories she'd boxed away to keep herself sane all crashing over her conscious mind again en masse. When she finally finds her voice, it's small and that's embarrassing, but it is what it is.

"Hey stranger."

Up, Up and to the Airport!

It had been a hellish day to be stuck at the airport, his next flight delayed not for the first, but the third time in a row. Teddy's mood already agitated considering he'd been at this since 5 am. His first flight out of Virginia running smooth as peanut butter to get him here; making his job of not getting startled and inadvertently phasing through all the technology he was surrounded with (and consequently making it pop and sizzle like useless techno bacon) a lot easier. Because while he was far from his preteen years of acci-phasing through floors and roughly 5 cellphones a month, it never hurt to be cautious. Especially when nobody expected him to be anything other than an almost too skinny twenty-something drowning in a large heather gray hoodie with only a messenger bag for luggage and a catchy hook from his playlist making his head consistently bob and his standard Kent I-don't-give-a-crap-about-contacts glassed nearly pitch off of his nose every other second.

Or maybe it had just been coming back to this place, even briefly, that had put him on edge from the start. Teddy at first warring with himself on whether to contact any of his old friends (and lets be honest, really, he'd only had just the one...) before the first time his connection had gotten delayed. And by the second he'd decided to grow a pair that he could find and sent Casey a text; nothing to specific or the 'im so sorry im a horrible friend :-(' she deserved. But it had been enough for her to say yes and have Teddy hustling to get through the crowd, a half of piping hot Starbucks in one hand that was nearly jostled all over his front when an extremely tall, built like a brick house man, barreled passed him without so much as an 'excuse me.' Leaving Teddy to glance back briefly after him with pointed look of irritation before the crowd suddenly parted and yeah, that was his girl. Casey always making a scene.

His mouth slanted up to one corner as he was delicately crushed, throat suddenly dry with all the thing he hadn't said before he'd gone, but even if the brief silence was awkward the hug felt the same. Just like old times.

"I said I wanted to see you, not be in tomorrow's tabloids," Teddy joked like he hadn't been gone and they weren't two year older versions of themselves pretending not to be strangers. "It's good to see you Casey."

She gave a soft huff and shook her head. "Then don't be friends with Supergirl," she joked back. It was something she'd never dealt with, really, before: a stranger walking around in the shell of her best friend. Casey wasn't really sure how to process that and if she couldn't process it, she sure as hell couldn't address it.

I missed you.

You're a jerk, you couldn't even check in once in a while to let me know you were okay?

I'm so glad you're home.

Things Casey thought, but all that came out instead as she pulled him close and tucked his shoulder under her chin, closing her eyes to hide the fact that the smile on her face fell short of them was, "you too, Teddy."
