WHO: Anna & Crowley
WHEN: day after christmas
WHERE: anna's room
WHAT: no idea yet
RATING: tbd
It had taken a lot of convincing, but Anna had managed to get Cas to go be with Jo and Dean for Christmas. She was sure he could see through her smiles and reassurances that she'd be fine alone. Although the kitten in her lap certainly helped at least a little. She still felt like hell, physically and emotionally, but she wasn't going to be the reason Cas didn't see Jo and Dean for Christmas. So eventually he left. And she was alone, except for the Hellhound on her right and the kitten on her left. After a bit of growling - on Anna's part - Johan finally settled down and left the kitten alone. He was a Hellhound, cats weren't his natural prey.
When Crowley showed up, Anna didn't really know what to think. In fact, she didn't know what to say either. One of two gifts she opened was from him. It was on the table closest to her bed. Cas had left all her other gifts close enough she could reach them without moving much, but she'd just set them on the floor and ignored them. The box didn't have a name on it, like all the gifts Anna had sent out, and so she had her suspicions. And when she opened the jewelry box, her suspicions were more or less confirmed.
And then he was there. And it should have been awkward, but it wasn't. A part of her wanted to ask him why he was bothering. She didn't have anything he wanted anymore. She was mortal. But she didn't say it. And he stayed. All day. All night. All morning. Anna fell asleep and woke up a few times. She ate a little, as much as she could stomach. She watched TV, because what else could she do in this condition. And things were, surprisingly, comfortable. She had no idea where Cas was, maybe he'd seen Crowley there and left. And she was grateful he wasn't around, grateful Gabriel wasn't around... grateful Crowley stayed. If she was thinking more clearly, she would probably realize she was fucked if she wanted to be around a demon. But she wasn't allowing herself to consider that she might be having feelings for him.
Stretching a little, Anna knocked into the headboard with her hand. She pulled it back and elbowed Johan in the head. Shifting back, she nearly squished the kitten. And as she pushed up from her position on her stomach into a sitting position, she bumped Crowley's feet. Rubbing her eyes a bit, Anna actually smiled. It was tiny, hardly decipherable, but it was the first smile that had been on her face since getting attacked.
"What time is it?"
