It was still hard for Felicity to believe that Sara was alive, if she were telling the truth. The thing was, though, that people who were here seemed to be from different times, different universes, and everything in between. There were people who she had definitely heard of as fictional. Then, there were others that Felicity had never heard of in her life. So, things were all over the spectrum. And while she was still trying to convince herself that in no universe could she, Sara, and Barry...along with everyone else...be fictional she hadn't totally convinced herself yet. What she had done, though, was move on to subjects that required more of her attention.....like Sara, her friend. She was alive. And while some of that was cause for celebration....the fact that people had, seemingly, come from different times was alarming. Felicity didn't know what Sara had last experienced. She knew, though, that the last time she had seen her friend it had been after the woman had died. Thinking about her lying there, lifeless, still made Felicity's eyes sting. The blond had mourned her friend. She had still been mourning Sara when she'd been brought to this place. So, hearing from her had been more strange than Felicity could really put into words. And she wasn't sure if Sara knew why she had been so startled and upset. This was all so complicated. Hell, Felicity had even cried when she'd put together who the mystery writer had been, obviously, claiming to be. It had seemed so cruel to her at the time. It had made her angry and upset all at once, but just a few words had convinced her that it wasn't a lie. After all, who else told Felicity she was still cute. That had been something very specific to Sara. And it had been the one clue she'd needed to know that the other person wasn't lying and was, indeed, her deceased friend. But the most important part of all of this was that Sara seemed to be alive here....even though it made absolutely, positively no sense. That didn't mean that Felicity didn't have to find out what her friend remembered, by any means. It was, actually, kind of important in this situation. There couldn't be tons of secrets between Felicity and the two people that she knew here because they were all going to have to work together. She didn't want to upset Sara, she didn't want to hurt her, but ultimately...Felicity had to know when her friend had come from and then she'd judge whether or not she should tell Sara what had happened. The other woman probably already had a bit of an idea that something was up and Felicity was going to have to answer about that, even if it was probably going to be really hard. Just thinking about it all was making Felicity nervous, so nervous that she'd paced the length of her apartment already in her bare feet. The scrapes on her knees were mostly hidden by the skirt that she'd arrived in, which she had put back on after washing, which was the only good thing about the outfit because it sure as hell wasn't practical here, neither was the fact that she only had the heels she'd arrived in. That thought passed Felicity's mind quickly and then it was back to her friend. Waiting on Sara to actually get to her apartment was nerve-wracking, so Felicity made her way to the door and opened it, peeking out and deciding that she couldn't stand to just wait on the knock. So, she left the door open much like she had, once upon a time, when she had been in college. Felicity's hand found it's way to her face, the thumbnail that she was in the habit of nibbling on when nervous making it's way between her teeth. It would have been unfair for her to ask Barry to talk to Sara, but part of Felicity wished that she had because she was nervous. She was nervous about potentially upsetting her friend, nervous about her own emotions and seeing her friend, and everything in between and unrelated to that too. Turning back toward her door Felicity forced herself to still and then made her way to the sofa, the very one she and Barry had sat at discussing Sara and their situation. Nail still between her teeth, the bespectacled blond waited, her eyes trained on the door, almost as if she were afraid if she didn't....she might somehow miss Sara. |
