The whole thing with being friends with Ron Weasley was still a bit weird for Evan and they had been friends for quite a few years now. They had first met at Hogwarts, Evan had told Ron off for being irritating in the library and then they had played chess. The whole friendship, for at least a good year, was mostly based on chess. Even now it was mainly based on chess and ever so often they'd go out and drink and bitch about many a thing. It wasn't necessarily that Evan cared much about things to bitch about them, but he had learned that Ron liked complaining. In a way, Evan almost found it endearing and when he didn't, he'd just leave. Ron had never seemed to mind terribly, so here they were.
They had met a few hours earlier in the pub. Evan was a week away from finishing the first semester of his university year, which essentially meant he was free until January, because half of the lectures in the last week of semester got cancelled anyway. He had already made complaints about two, and had no doubt more would follow. Seeing how he was in a posh uni, you'd really think that they'd be better at sorting their shit out. Apparently not.
All things considered, Evan quite enjoyed going out with Ron. He wasn't necessarily intellectually challenging to Evan (apart from when they played chess) but Evan found Ron engaging enough to give his time to the other guy. They often spoke about very little that mattered and that suited Evan just fine. He didn't do emotional and Ron had thankfully never seemed to expect Evan to do emotional. This was good.
Having returned from the bar with another round of drinks, Evan took a large sip before shaking his head at Ron. "Your brothers sound like dicks," he commented honestly. Evan wasn't referring to all of them, of course, because that would be a gross exaggeration when considering how many brothers Ron had, but the twins certainly sounded irksome. Once he had thought that, however, Evan grinned. "Mind you, I'm sure that Harry's off at a pub somewhere telling the exactly same thing to people about Daisy and I," because, lets face it, Daisy and Evan were dicks. "Are you planning to move out any time soon?" He asked curiously. That seemed a good solution to many of the issues Ron was having.
