Evan really didn't mind talking about different types of wood with Ron. In fact, he found it both interesting and entertaining, perhaps, this was what their friendship was built on. They didn't tend to talk about anything that, well, mattered, because that wasn't how they were. If Evan ever needed an advice on emotions, he went to Daisy and even if not, Ron would probably not be in Evan's top ten people to go to and Evan wasn't sure he even knew ten people. Nonetheless, wood was something that both of them could and enjoyed talking about.
When Ron offered to buy the round, Evan shrugged. "Sure, sure, same again?" He asked lifting his empty glass, so Ron could read the brand name on it. "No great plans," Evan replied with a shrug. "I have an assignment due in early January, so I need to do that," but only because Evan tended to have at least three drafts of something before his final submission. He was already on draft two. "It's about the expansion of space through the use of house-elf magic," he added not sure whether Ron would really care but it was something to chat about. Saying it out loud also made Evan think that maybe he should owl Hermione, she probably would have ideas on the topic and also Evan wasn't sure he had seen her recently.
