Evan was rather drunk. There was a reasonably good excuse for how he had gotten so, too. The exam that had finished at one today, had been the last one Evan had to sit this year for his course, and that had been the same for most of the people on his degree, and also, oddly, Maths. So when they had left the room, all striding out once the clock had hit 1pm, with the exception of those finishing early, the obvious choice had been going straight to the pub. Two cocktail pitchers later (which Evan had shared with others, thank you very much), they had ended up at Tom’s house. Evan had literally no idea who Tom was, apart from the fact that he had just done his Maths exams. Erzebet knew him, though, which should have been an indication of nothing good but Evan was too pleased to be done with his exams to care. So Tom’s house it was.

What Tom’s house also was, was peppered with posters of Quake. It was somewhat odd to enter a house and be met with the face of emo-hedgehog, whose name Evan honestly didn’t know, on a poster. Whoever Tom’s housemates were, though, they had either had no exams, were celebrating the conclusion of them or genuinely just didn’t care, because the house was absolutely filled with people. Someone had handed Evan a drink as soon as he had walked through the door and currently he was having a discussion about the merits of examining Maths students with people he had neither ever met nor thought he’d ever meet again.

“Yes, but the principle of maths, any maths, whether it be magical or not, still is inherently linked to philosophy, so unless you are allowed a coursework based assessment, you can’t be expected to possibly illustrate a full understanding of a subject through doing formulas,” Evan said waving his half-empty glass (of what, he did not know) around. There was someone who gave a reply in agreement to Evan’s statement and someone who attempted to argue for the logistics of mathematical and statistical benefits of exams, which frankly were just ridiculous, but Evan was also trying to spot Erzebet so she could save him from the conversation leading nowhere, except he got distracted by another Quake poster.

It wasn’t terribly shocking that Evan got distracted by it either, not when the conversation involved the philosophical application of maths on actual maths and the poster involved a half-naked picture of Andrew winking at Evan. “Isn’t he really hot?” Someone said, drawing Evan’s attention back to the conversation, which clearly no longer was about maths and the reasons for examining you in them, and had turned to how hot Andrew looked half-naked. Which was very, but the answer Evan offered was mostly an a ‘I guess’. This, in return, earned Evan a what-felt-like a ten minute monologue about how Andrew was hot and was amazing and frankly, Evan knew that already.

“Oh, Evan doesn’t follow Quake,” Erzebet said from behind him, because Erzebet seemingly mostly only said things if they could irritate other people, and with that statement she had managed to irritate both Evan and the person telling him about how great Andrew was, so really, double kudos to her.

The grand speech about how attractive Andrew was somehow then turned into a speech about how amazing and talented Quake was and Evan really wasn’t sure whether he was nodding along with it because he agreed or because he felt so drunk it seemed easier than arguing over whether any one band could really be described as changing the meaning of Magic rock (which it literally could not and what the fuck were they even on about?!). Everything was sort of spinning and Evan felt really quite drunk. There were also more cups of what Evan was trying very hard not to identify as ‘mystery drinks’ passed to him and he should probably go home.

Except that going home was a very hard concept right now and whilst Evan knew he should, Erzebet was seemingly having a lot of fun and Evan knew no one else here who could get him to a Floo (or apparate him without costing an arm or a kidney). Which obviously meant that there was only one solution (there might’ve been more but Evan could only think of one) and that was to get Andrew to save Evan.

It took longer than Evan had anticipated to locate an owl, which perhaps he should have expected to be difficult, despite that it was a party filled with Magical folk. Once he did, though, Evan owled Andrew a note with the address to the house and a rather desperate ‘please come and get me, I’m very drunk’, that might have been misspelled, but Evan had tried very hard to make sure it wasn’t. Once the owl flew off, Evan returned to the party, taking a sip of a new drink handed to him before he could really think of not doing so.

Evan was really quite good with lists, so he was sure they could do one for adventures. He was also pretty good at schedules but maybe that would risk it becoming an obligation rather than a pleasant activity and Evan didn't want that to happen, so he'd have to think about scheduling when he was less drunk to make any reasonable decisions. "I'd like to see you play," Evan confirmed. It was pretty strange, probably, that they had been not-dating for over three months and Evan was still yet to see a Quake concert. Did that make him a bad not-boyfriend? He suspected that it did. But it wasn't like Evan didn't want to, it just hadn't really... happened, yet.

"I'm not going to be sick," Evan said sounding a lot like a petulant child as he leaned into Andrew when his arm draped across Evan's shoulder. He could actually promise not to be sick again but Evan didn't feel like that was going to happen (again). "I just want to brush my teeth and wear pyjamas and have blankets and be able to kiss you," he said with a soft sigh. All those things sounded really pleasant right about now (most of them sounded really pleasant always). "Come on," Evan urged, standing up and taking Andrew's hand so he could pull him up as well. "Take me home," he instructed. "I promise to repay in kind," he added with a small grin. Whether that was 'and not be sick' or 'and give you a blowjob' even Evan wasn't too sure about.

It hadn't occurred to Andrew that Evan not having been to a big might make him a bad not-boyfriend, he'd offered because he thought Evan might enjoy it and not out of any particular need to have Evan come watch. He'd already made Evan listen to the record of the song Andrew was most proud of writing, which mattered more to him than Evan seeing a live performance. Still, since Evan was agreeing Andrew did think it would be nice to have him there. "Great. We'll add it to the list." There would be plenty of gigs to choose from, but Andrew thought something at a bigger venue would probably be most interesting.

Andrew wasn't too sure, but he stood when Evan pulled him up and slid his wand out. "I see you've got your priorities in order," he teased, not at all genuinely offended. "I like how I come after pyjamas." He kept hold of Evan's hand and apparated them to a spot in Panquake House's front garden, where it wouldn't matter too much if Evan were sick. "Alright?" he asked, glancing over to see if Evan was ready to go inside.

"Pyjamas are very important," Evan informed Andrew just before they apparated away and whilst it didn't make his stomach turn, it did take Evan a moment before he could reply. "Yes," he said finally, with a nod. He really didn't feel too badly, so that was pretty great. "Besides," he said instead. "The list isn't in the order of priority, it's in the order of practicality. Have to brush teeth before I can change into pyjamas and have to get into pyjamas before I can get in the bed. I guess I could kiss you before getting in the bed but once I'm in the bed I won't have to do anything other than kiss you, but slotting you between pyjamas and bed would just be impractical," Evan explained only stopping when he ran out of breath.

Sober!Evan would have been very proud of the fact that drunk!Evan remembered to be extra quiet when him and Andrew entered the house, as not to wake any of his flatmates if they were sleeping. As Evan's list had indicated, he did start with brushing his teeth, being sick certainly was a good reason for that to be the first on his list of actions. Once returning from the bathroom, Evan starter pulling his clothes off before he had even properly gotten back to Andrew's bedroom. "Pyjamas, bed, kissing," he repeated determinedly. Stumbling out of his trousers, Evan bumped into Andrew. "I could be convinced to by-pass the pyjamas, I suppose," he informed Andrew with a rather put on frown.
