The Doctor's recording was made in a voice just as chipper as always, with a smile you could hear.

Hello and more importantly Merry Christmas - I know, I know, a bit late, sorry. Anyway. Hello. Yes. I've been more than a bit quiet as of late, sorry about that too, but I thought I'd well, say hello. That's it, really, just hello. Hi River. Hi Rose. Hello Read Oak and all the people in it I don't, yet, know.

I'm The Doctor and I've been spending a lot of time trying to - well, never mind that - I've just been busy. Really busy. Really very busy - and now I'm not! Turns out there wasn't a whole lot to be busy doing, well, what I was doing. So, right. Not going to do that anymore, decided, you know, I'm a bit due for a good walk. I love a good walk, a bit of a stroll, a jaunt, a slow jog, a sauntering meander through a quiet little town, looking at quiet little things, maybe finding quiet little shoppes - I love the little shoppes.

So. That's where I'll be, walking, nowhere in particular, somewhere in town. Come and say Hello!

Dude! There are voice messages on here too? Awesome. Now I can be super lazy and never have to type.
I'm not anyone you mentioned, and I have no clue who you are, but hi. I'm Jubilee. I'm a newb. An awesome one, but I'm still new.
Did ya get anything good for Christmas?

You're named Jubilee? Like the party? The fancy party? The kind with tiny little snacks on tiny napkins, with tiny swords and bow ties - oooh. No. No bow ties. And you're a newb? Is that - no, never mind, probably not, seems unlikely. Hello. Yes. I'm The Doctor. Nice to meet you...Miss Lee? Or is it Jubi? Jewels? How about Ms. Party - yes. Nice to meet you Miss, or is it misses? - Party.

I'm The Doctor and my Christmas was..quiet - and believe me you have no idea how long its been since that's happened.

Jubilation Lee is the name to be exact, but I like Jubilee best, 'cause with me, every day's a celebration! But Miss Party doesn't sound too bad though. I could go into business with that name. Earn some quick cash with my awesomeness.

What, do you usually go to some raging party every Christmas or something? Because a little action beats doing nothing. Heck, I wouldn't have minded a little explosion or two to entertain me. Even if I caused them. but anyway yeah. There's only so many parades a gal can take before wanting to take a header out her bedroom window.

Oh I'm sure I'm not the only one, River Song. Why not come and tell me all about the things you've dug up, you brilliant archeologist - yes, I know, just used those two words together, it's Christmas, that's my explanation.

Seems like I spend my life trying to track you down! But you've buttered me up quite well. I am awfully brilliant, aren't I? Where are you now?

Walking - well, no, not walking - yet. Talking into this thing, to you, then walking. Where? Oh I don't know - that's what makes it fun. Thought I might go find a little shoppe.

Doctor? Is that really you? It's... it's Charley. Charlotte Pollard.

Yes, of course it's me, well, one of me - lots of me running around here these days it seems..I tell you, bound to be nothing but trouble.

Charlie Who? OH! Yes. Charlie Pollard. Lovely girl. Found you on an airship - caused a bit of trouble - last I saw you was...well, lets not talk about that hm?

It's - uh - been awhile yes. Where are you, what do you remember?

I've talked to your other self. Sort of. He forgot who I was. I know, I remember having all of you together, and it was nothing but trouble.

You did, yeah. You mean when you thought I left, but really the TARDIS took off without me and left me on a ship that blew up? I know.

I'm at the boarding house. I remember everything, more than you probably.

Yes. He does tend to be the forgetful sort. Good reason though, I'm sure, but also a very long story.

As for remembering more than me? I doubt it, and, if that's is true then you have a very, very, large brain - and I'm sorry. Still. Yes. Airships. Explosions. Zipping off in the TARDIS, thinking you were gone, but here you are! Charlie Pollard, surviving it all to end up in Red Oak. How's it feel to be here? Not quite as exciting as some places we've been, hm - still, there's a good bit of mystery.

I kind of figured that.

Well to be fair, Doctor, you get amnesia more than any person I've ever met. Not to mention there's the time that I had to wipe your memory, but you wouldn't remember that. Because I wiped it. I mean a certain bit. Guess that's something to be explained. It's all right, I suppose. I'm glad to be here instead of with the Viyrans.

You what? How could you - why would you - how dare you -

No. Never mind. Not interested. Not right now. Too much to do, too little time to do it. I don't get amnesia. My memory is very selective. I remember what I need to remember when I need to remember it and - assuming people don't go removing things without a very good reason - I never forget things.

Yes. Viyrans. I'm sure they miss you. Do try and stay out of trouble here, yes? I know, difficult request, but lots to keep track of - and I've already had to 'see' you blown up once.

You gave me permission, if it helps. I mean not that you remember that either. But if you remember Mila? Mila.. was actually me. With your.. Sixth self. But when I met your Sixth self, you obviously hadn't remembered meeting me before when I first met your Eighth self. I didn't tell him a thing, I know about not making anymore rips in time. I couldn't tell you, and I didn't. But then Mila duplicated herself and took my place and told you everything. I had no choice.

And yes, you most certainly do get amnesia. You hit your head all the time and never remembered a thing about anyone. I mean it always comes back, but you do get amnesia.

I am not going back to them. They've kept me for thousands of years, Doctor. To do their dirty work. To wipe whole races out because they think it was necessary, that there wasn't any way to stop whatever plague was attacking the people. You know they don't have any emotions.

You didn't see me get blown up, the TARDIS took off before that, and you were quite dead and not regenerating when it did.

What?

Hit my head? What do you mean hit my head? I never hit my head - and I certainly don't go around giving people permission to give me amnesia. That's just - who does that? Do people just wander around saying "Oh, what a dreadful day, I think I'll have some amnesia now"? You humans and your ideas, I swear...getting stranger by the day - hold on, did you say rips in time?

That's not funny Charlotte Pollard, not funny at all. An I know I never actually saw it happen - figurative figure of speech, you understand. Yes. Right. 'Course you do. Still. Red Oak. Big place. Big strange place. Lots of big, strange people and big, strange things, hard for me to keep track of everything and figure out how to set it all straight. If you really did cause rips in time, I should probably see you at some point, just to make sure. Not inside the TARDIS though - that's a big enough mess as it is..

...and I don't think I like these Viyrans anymore, thanks for the tip, Charley.

I told you, it's difficult to explain. I was stranded on a desert island. And I called out for help and you came but it was a previous you. And clearly the first time you met me, you weren't all "Oh I remember you!" so something must have happened.

I didn't give you.. oh would you listen to me? The Viyrans wiped your memory, because it was the only way. If I told you your future involving me, bad things would happen. So when the truth finally came out, it was bad. Bad bad things were happening. So you told me to fix it and I did.

No it was not funny at all. I didn't appreciate any of it. I just did what had to be done. And it's fixed now. No more crazy paradoxes with me. I'm just stuck out here with no home, it's fine.

You never liked them in the first place.

Sounds like a pretty normal day really, well, maybe not-so-normal, but nothing out of the ordinary - at least not for this place. Still, unpleasant - which really seems to be par for the course.

Anyway, lets move on, shall we?

How are you finding yourself getting on here, in Red Oak?

I was starting to think that you were avoiding me but of course you wouldn't do that, would you? You wouldn't leave me out of time to fend for myself because you know that if I somehow died I would haunt you for eternity and beyond.

Where are you anyway? I've been over practically every inch of this town looking for you.

Donna!

Wait. Yes. Right. Lots of questions. No, I didn't leave - long story, terribly complicated and not very fun at all.

Tell me, and this is considerably important given, well, everything..

What's the last thing you remember?

Well we were heading back to Earth because of that warning bell that was going off in the TARDIS. Just before I told you that I saw her, Rose.

I stepped out of the TARDIS too look around and when I turned back, you had gone.

Stuck? Me? Nonsense. Never going to happen. I never get stuck. I just...prolong my stay in some places longer than others. Besides, two Me's here. Two! Can you imagine? Well, no you probably can't at least not right now, but believe me, if there's anyone who can figure this out and get us out of here, it's us - well, me - both mes. Us. Yes, us.

Why been better? What's the matter? What's wrong? This place isn't that bad, is it?

No, I can't imagine that.

It's not bad but we're out of time, Doctor. I can't call mum or granddad and let them know I'm alright because technically we're in the future. It's sort of depressing.

Oh. C'mon. You're Donna Noble! What's depressing about being in the future? You've done this whole parallel universe idea thing before only, this time, I'm not dead! That's much better, isn't it?

C'mon. Where are you? We'll get the whole team back together and fix this up in a jiffy!

...Did I just say jiffy?

And yes, you did say jiffy.

Right. Yes. Manner House. Smart thinking - 'course it is, you're you, you're brilliant. Leave it to you to find a great, big, hub of a house to sit yourself in.

How's the tea? I'll come say hello.

It's better than being off alone somewhere.

The tea is passable, they are more fond of coffee here.
