ORIGINAL CHARACTERS WELCOME!
The date is September 1st, 2000. It's the start of the third school year since the Battle of Hogwarts in the spring of 1998. Some of the Hogwarts staff have quit, some have retired, and others are no longer with us. Under the supervision of Headmistress McGonagall, an all-new staff has been hired, bringing a stream of young blood through the corridors of the ancient castle.
New classes are being offered for the first time in hundreds of years. These students are excited to be the first in a new era of wizardry - an era no longer threatened by the dark arts or a power-hungry Dark Lord.
Despite restoration and progress, there is a new threat on the horizon. Modern muggle warfare has reached an unpredictable peak. Over the summer of 2000, Durmstrang Institute was destroyed by muggle aircraft, having been magically unseen to the pilots. While the school is rebuilt, the student body of Durmstrang will be sorted into houses at Hogwarts School. These students have been taught to embrace the dark arts and uphold old wizarding traditions (such as not intermarrying with non-purebloods). The fresh new staff and both groups of students will take some time to adjust. Furthermore, the rest of wizarding England has experienced an influx of dark wizards as well (the families and teachers of the Durmstrang student body).
This game will focus on Hogwarts' young new staff and how they deal with a flood of adolescent supporters of the dark arts. At all costs, any suspicious or uniquely powerful students must be supervised thoroughly. No one amongst the Ministry, Hogwarts or the Order of the Phoenix is willing to allow another rise to power by a sinister outcast. |

The Matter of Seggri
In this matriarchal society, men are treated as servants, playthings and tools for procreation. There aren't very many, so when they sell, they sell for a high price. A son can be a financial burden as well as a blessing. Character A was sold to one of the training-houses when he was thirteen. He has competed for and prepared for his future since then, hardly expecting that by the time he reached adulthood, turmoil would be threatening to erupt between his subjugated brothers and the women who buy and rent their services. Character B is an older woman who has recently lost her best slave to a congenital heart defect. In the market for a replacement, she sets her sights on Character A, buying him on recommendation from the training-house masters. (Het only. Loosely inspired by Ursula Le Guin's short story collection, this line would involve bdsm elements, as well as a slight age difference between the characters.)
