I was going to write about my injury and how I'm not actually writing anything by myself, only with a spelled quill, but it seems other people's are of much more notice at the moment. Are the magazines here always so... I forget the word, but it seems like they are ready to self-destruct by clawing at their own staff?

Not that I am knowing anyone at this magazine, of course, but it seems to me like a very silly thing to allow one of your staff to do, no? Very unprofessional?

Having grown up in Quebec I am quite familiar with its gossip magazines and their styles, thank you. Given the unpleasantness directed to the lady in question, it was better to ask than to assume.

Good. The lady in question is tough as nails. She's used to getting discriminated against her for her opinion. I think that instead of signing her owls 'best regards', she just leaves it at a quaint 'regards' and gets on with it.

Well, it is good that she can handle it. She seems to be friends with a lot of people I like, so she must be reasonable.

Ah, now, this is reminding me of something... there was a joke my manager made. That most people would find 'regards' to be polite but for the British they would be secretly seething with rage. I cannot decide if he was exaggerating or not.

The worst thing is to just get a regards. Fills you with dread.
