First of all, Brian loves Michael. Just not how he eventually loves Justin. Just had to get that out of the way. *pets Michael* But OMG Michael just couldn't have feelings for Brian if this was a movie. The last shot of ep. 103 can't be Michael watching from the catwalk, sheesh. Preferably a beautiful panning camera shot on a par with the ending of 311 (see icon) and then the end credits. And would be the end credits song? My, that's a whole other discussion. If 101-103 was a movie, it would work, and I would smile at the theater and then go home and tell my friends it was a cute movie, but it wouldn't be nearly as memorable as the ongoing show. In the first few episodes we don't learn much about Brian's history, which was really made me start to feel for his character a lot more. And where Queer As Folk deals with a lot of issues and is very character- rather than couple-driven, this "film" would just be like...a romantic comedy. And I would probably enjoy it, but I'd be craving a sequel. The other thing is that it would be pretty...imbalanced. The first forty-five minutes or so is kind of a continuous day, but then it suddenly picks up speed, and it takes ninety minutes in for Brian to break Justin's heart, and only fifty minutes more for Justin to win his heart. But we could walk away from this movie pretty confident that Brian and Justin are going to have a happy ending.
