Brian and Justin discuss more apologies
Hmm I think there's a theme running through this ep. Emmett and Melanie are sorry for what they said to each other, Ted will be sorry for the way he's fucking things up now, and Justin is very much not sorry for either fucking the boss or standing up to Stockwell.
Anyways, J & B are walking along the street (and actually talking about actual important things!) and Justin is telling Brian about how they want him to apologize in front of the disciplinary committee, like he did something wrong.
"Well, didn’t you?" ;)
"Are you saying you agree with them?"
"If somebody had told me what you were up to, I would have fired your ass. If I didn't have my dick inside it!" LOL!!! I love this for two reasons: 1 – He is talking about his dick being up Justin's ass, which is always a worthy topic of conversation and 2 – Brian DID know about the sabotage. And he not only didn't fire Justin, but he helped him. A huge part of it was Brian deciding to do what he believed in, but I still think if it had been anyone else making anti-Stockwell posters with the company's supplies they would have been fired immediately. But Justin gets special treatment, because Brian confronts him directly instead of doing that.
"But I'm not sorry for anything."
"I'm not saying you should be sorry. I'm just saying you should apologize."
"Just give in to them? Roll over?"
"Well, do you want to finish your education, get a degree? Get a good job? Be rich?"
"I don’t care about money. "
"Okay, do you want to have the freedom to create whatever you want without having to answer to anyone?"
"Who doesn't?"
"Well, then you care about the money so you should go apologize. Not for them, for you." :)
This is a great scene between them. They are actually talking, for one thing. For another, it's a perfect scene for showing who they are as individuals and how they interact as a couple. I love it!
