The 37 Days Of Gusmas
Title: Light Hearts
Author: vl_redreign
Prompt: Lights
Notes: Been awhile since we saw Ted, and Em...and Debbie. And that blond guy. lol Also, I needed to make my annual plug for TSO, the best holiday music ever.
Emmett was incredibly busy this holiday season. Parties, decorating both Kinnetik and Britin (and Brian paid well), along with Deb’s place…and he was the first person to rein her in from her more eclectic tastes.
Gone were the reindeer on the roof and the leather daddy gnomes in the front yard. Inside, well, he tried. It still looked like a knick-knack shop exploded. He did talk her into stringing lights from the trees out front, though, and at night, they looked amazing.
“Vic would approve,” Deb said softly.
“Especially the hula Santa on the top of the tree.”
They laughed.

Justin actually liked sharing a place with Dane. They didn’t get in each other’s way and neither had to bully the other into cleaning. Although they didn’t plan to be in the city for Christmas, they decided to make a nod towards decorating.
Justin made ornaments out of heavy stock, depicting scenes of elves and Santa doing things that no child should ever see. Dane said that his image of Mrs. Claus was shattered after Justin drew her in soixante-neuf with two female elves. And Santa and Rudolph…that was just wrong. But funny.
A few lights and it was perfect.

Blake decided that while he loved Ted, the man was ridiculously anal about some things. Now, he was channeling his inner Brian.
“Okay, you know what? I think that Aida is the wrong music right now. Let me set the mood, and then you’ll see what I mean.”
Blake went to the CD player and changed the disc. A guitar began softly, followed by a cello. Then a collision of instruments changed the song into something else, something bombastic.
“What the hell is that?” Ted asked.
“Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Best Christmas music ever. Now, hit the lights, and move.”
