I couldn't resist writing for the Melanie and Lindsay prompt on LJ's drabylon.

Mama's Girl

Melanie rubbed her eyes. "Is he gone?"

"Yes." Lindsay frowned, but didn't say anything else. Over the years, she and Mel had said everything about Brian at least twice. She was sick of it.

Mel stood up, stretching. "Are the kids in bed?"

Lindsay nodded. "Gus is in heaven. Brian carried him upstairs and told him a story until he fell asleep."

"God," Mel said. "Am I the only one in this house who isn't in love with Brian Kinney?"

"No," Lindsay said, then grinned. "You can be a proud mother. Jenny threw up all over his new suede coat."
