Title: Real Love (challenge #171: Daphne) Warnings/Author's Notes: S1 And the condom goes to: prom kiss
He looked amazing in his tux. For about the billionth time, Daphne wished Justin wasn’t gay.
Together they rolled their eyes at anyone who wasn’t them, assigning a point system to clichéd prom behavior. No one could make her laugh like Justin.
As they danced, he held her close while she silently reminded herself, Someday, I’ll have someone.
Yet, when Justin’s “someone” showed up and Justin got that look on his face, Daphne didn’t feel jealous. If Brian could make her best friend feel like she'd hoped to, she was happy.
Real love was good that way. |

Title: Date (challenge #171: Daphne) Warnings/Author's Notes: anytime after S1 And the condom goes to: ice cream kiss
“…It was so gay! How could anyone be so stupid?”
Right up until that moment, Daphne had been enjoying her date.
She tried to sound calm, “What do you mean exactly by ‘so gay?’”
Aaron looked confused. “Uhm…stupid, like I said.”
“So being gay is being stupid?”
“Of course not! It’s just a saying!”
Daphne knew well, words like those meant something. They weren’t sticks and stones, and they certainly weren’t men in white sheets or jocks wielding baseball bats aimed at her friend’s head, but still...
She sat up taller and began the re-education of Aaron. |
