As the mask slides into place, Brian's mind, ironically, fights the drugs. Focusing instead on a kaleidoscope of worries. Did he make the right decision to have the surgery? Were Ted and Cynthia fucking destroying Kinnetik? What about the changes he'd had made to his will?
On and on...
The anesthesiologist tells him to relax and focus on being somewhere sunny and beautiful. Brian tries to envision the flawless beaches, azure water and radiant sunshine of Ibiza.
But, as he slowly floats into unconsciousness, his mind conjures up flawless skin, azure eyes, and the radiance of a completely different sunshine. |

Brian’s day had been for shit. He’d woken with a raging headache and a raging hard-on and no Justin to help him with either.. He drove to work in the pouring rain, not realizing he didn’t have an umbrella until he stopped for coffee.
He had promised Justin he’d pick him up from school that day, but was 30 minutes late because he’d been stuck on a conference call. Even so, Justin got in cheerfully, dripping all over the leather seats, and flashed him a smile.
And just like that, Brian felt better. All he’d needed was a little Sunshine. |
