Title: Being Rage
Notes: Last night in my journal, I asked for bunnies for this challenge. I didn't have any this morning when I went to work, but I didn't have class for a couple of hours after I got there, so I decided to think up something myself. I started out with Gus in Red Cape Comics, finding a copy of Rage. Then I decided that instead, I'd write Gus wanting to *BE* Rage for Halloween and wrote that instead. Then, at lunch, I checked my email and found a bunny from ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) happier_bunny suggesting at I have GUS WANTING TO BE RAGE FOR HALLOWEEN. Seriously, how crazy is that?!?!?! So...here's a drabble about Gus wanting to be Rage for Halloween. :-D No beta, all mistakes are mine.

“I know what I’m going to be for Halloween.”
“What’s that, dear?” Linsday expected to hear Grim Reaper or Bloody Zombie Skateboarder. At 11, Gus was all about bloody and disgusting.
“Rage.”
Lindsay really tried to stay calm. Briefly closing her eyes, she asked, “H-h-how do you know about Rage?”
“I saw it at Michael’s store this summer. Why didn’t you tell me Dad was a super hero?”
“He’s not, Gus, it’s just a comic book.”
“Yeah. One that Justin and Michael created. I know what it’s about, Mom. I wanna be Rage.”
“Melanie?” Lindsay shouted frantically. “Help!” |
