This is one of my all time fave MEREDITH fics.
It's an AU, Justin's parents die, he comes to live with his cousin Lindsay, and of course he meets Brian.
I've no idea why this fic tickles my fancy so, but it does and I hope you guys enjoy it too.

It's a season three mystery AU.
We've got: ad campaigns for kitty sweaters // clues // murder // intrigue // murder (so yes there's some character death but not B/J) // angst
There's something for everyone I'm certain of it.

I think it's time for me to rec a new crack!fic. I'm a sucker for CRAZYFAIRY (as most of you know. lol) and I was trying to decide what to rec when I remembered these:
FAULTY RUN
and it's sequel
PAIN PILLS (LINK IS FIXED)
Ummm, let's see, I think the author's described these as being mainstream canon and what if Justin's first solo walk at night didn't go like his daytime walk (I'm totally paraphrasing).
OT: MOD REQUEST: When you guys are posting to this asylum, could you please tag your posts with the author's name at least and perhaps a descriptions as the type of fic. For example: au, h/c, season one, high school, deliberate crack, etc. This would help me out a lot as I don't have as much time to keep up with everything anymore! |

Once upon a time I had never read any crack!fic. Then I read Julia's "I Dream of Justin" and I couldn't get enough of tiny little naked Justin in a bottle with Brian gazing in with a magnifying glass and Justin clutching Brian's shirt that he'd taken into the bottle with him and crying and you know, I was just completely doomed and corrupted.
And so one day I was emailing bunny and vamph about how I hate most use of HIV in fan fic and especially when they have it be Justin, and whine whine whine rant rant rant and I said I mean, the only possible way it could work is an AU, only then could it be remotely believable and then bunny and vamph looked metaphorically at each other and said, "Well."
And I said, "What?"
And bunny sent me Frozen Sunshine by Thyme and it had brave!Justin and asshole!Brian getting his cold heart melted and insanely!jealous!OOC!Mikey and brotherly!concerned!Ben and mom!Debbie and really, I have read it at least 42 times.
*sobs for poor brave Justin who no one has ever loved before*
You must go read it and tell me every single thing you love about this fic because it's just so full of CRACK THE LOVE! |
