Strangely enough, I've only watched the "scarfing" scene one time, when I did my virgin qaf marathon early last year. Now, I understand what Brian could have been attempting in that scene, but what conclusions have been drawn in discussions of that event and of course, the white scarf in general?
I'd like to revisit the scarf's journey from Brian's purchasing it until Justin removes it from Brian's neck. But before I do, I'd like to get the impressions of others in the fandom. (or maybe I need to get a life!) And yes, I know I am flirting with the whole symbolism thing here, but that can be fun...can't it??
Anyway, xie's post from yesterday got me thinking that I shouldn't be so quick to go with my first impressions about a scene or a character's motivations, so I know this has got to be the right place to ask this question. (It is the right place, isn't it?)
