Since angst has been thrown out there, I thought I'd ask about humor. What's the general opinion on humor in QAF fic? It's always seemed to me that Brian (show Brian) had a weird, sarcastic, biting sense of humor sometimes. Do you think this tends to be lost with fic Brian?

If people have totally forgotten that Brian and Justin aren't real. I know people get really invested in the stories, and that some are so well-written that the characters seem real, but sometimes I think there's a massive disconnect between fiction and reality.

I wrote this little fic thing that briefly makes fun of mpreg and has Brian threatening to sue Justin and Mikey if they write an mpreg storyline for Rage. And I got a review in which the person said, "Brian suing us?! LOL. Omg that shit is too funny." Cause, yeah . . . I get sued by fictional characters every day. Holden Caulfield's coming after me next for plagiarism and I'm sure he'll be all, "You plagiarized me! I'm the only angsty teenage male in the history of the universe!" And then I'll have to explain to my lawyer, who will be laughing at me, that yes, I live in fear of non-existent people. Blah.

The community was inspired by a discussion in my LJ here. The name was inspired by comments made by besame_bj

HB and I have been finding that discussing the themes in fanfic, the characterizations, and other plot points is almost as much fun as reading fic itself.
