82. Drabble: Sunshine Yellow

We’re walking back from Gus’s room after checking out how the painters I hired are doing. He points to another room I tell myself I’ve kept empty not because I kind of thought it might make a nice studio space for Justin, but rather because it’s too damn… bright in there.

“You should make that room yellow,” he says.

“And why,” I say, smiling, “would I take interior design advice from a six year old?”

“Because…” – I can’t tell whether he’s ignoring me, or not getting that the question was rhetorical - “…that’s the Sunshine Room.”

I’ll inform the painters.

	Thank you for the feedback. As for where Justin is, I was sort of imagining he had left for NY quite recently and Brian is just starting to move into Britin... but being Brian, he's all "not really counting on Justin returning but still leaving room for him"... much like the empty drawer when Justin comes back from CA. ;) (Reply to this) (Parent)
