Shadow World Area #1
Who: Iwata and the scout team. Rescue team optional.
What: Shadow world exploration.
When: Night time.
Where: Southern Kamizaka.
[MOD:] Area instructions.
You will be exploring a space of the shadow world with your characters. Remember, you must use the persona fusion while in this world to protect yourself from its influence. (A reminder for those who tried it out on the Rikka event thread.)
Battle instructions
You will find all necessary battle instructions in this link. Don't worry or let it intimidate you, as this is more of a guideline than a strict thing. There will be plenty of moderation through this thread to introduce you to it.
Skills
At the current point, your characters should have:
1 Unique Skill
1 passive bonus
3 regular skills
Stats
Because we currently don't have a stat system working, the moderator will inform players how their health and magical capacity is holding up. I.E: "You're on full health/you're beginning to feel exhausted/you're injured" etc.
Objective
Scout the area and find out as much of the information requested by Iwata.
[/END MOD]
Iwata waited for them pretending he was out drinking a soda by a small convenience store. Practically the last building on Southern Kamizaka, before the town roads sped away into the distance, towards Oozora. He'd abandoned his suit in his car, which was parked away at a distance, since this was a hot and sticky summer night. If the children's reports were true, it made sense that some sort of firebird had come to take the reins of the world come the end of the last season. He could easily imagine the hot breeze being the flap of such a monstrous' creature's wings.
When the kids arrived, one by one he gestured for them to come around with him and into the store. There was no one there.
"You're probably wondering why I took you away from Oozora," was the first thing he said. "Well, from your reports, we know the other side is not entirely like ours... but it has some similarities. Two reasons came to mind for this decision. First, we need to be someplace where, quite hopefully, there will be society on the other side. Second, we know your school is a collection of people with the potential. Psychic, sensitive people..."
He put the soda aside.
"Whatever is on the other side, in the shadow version of your school, is probably not something we'd like to meet right now," he said, looking at the kids. "The owner's one of our contacts in town. Right now, we got as much privacy as we'll get outside of Oozora," he added, looking outside the front door, to make sure nobody had followed them, before turning his attention back to the kids.
Out of the many objects in the convenience store, one seemed out of place: a medium-sized mirror, propped up on top of the counter.
Next to it were five small, identical bags, with belts to snap around the kids' waists, leaving them hands-free to act. "In case of an emergency, those have supplies, including a small ration of food, water, gauze. For now, I don't think we can do more." He continued to explain the camera that one of them would carry: it was a two-set device, a shoulder-holster where the camera lens were - the camera itself was small and sleek - and a bag that would also be around waist level, with a cable running from the camera to it. "It leaves you hands-free to fight. The bag has two drives, and battery power for the camera. If one drive fails, the other should have a backup of the recording."
He seemed a little tense after informing them all of this. Uneasy. "I'd like to go with you, to be honest, but I'm afraid it can't be done..." he explained, shaking his head lightly. "Let me repeat my instructions: avoid hostilities as much as possible. You are there to explore and learn. Should anything go wrong, fall back. And remember my warnings--" he stared at Kaito in particular, "If you see one of your personal shadows, do not engage it."
Having said so, and with a sort of finality to his voice: "Do any of you have any questions?"
